“Had a great stay!”

Loved our stay in this house which is right in the heart of the Old Town. The house has been lovingly restored by the owner. It had everything we needed and the beds and linens were excellent. There was also a washing machine and drying rack which could be placed on the rooftop (very private) terrace. The owner, Mr Paraskevas, was very helpful. There are lots of great restaurants around the corner (especially liked Sofra) but the location is still very quiet. We were worried about parking (and it was very busy) but we managed to find free street parking for our three nights.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully restored Venetian villa in the heart of Rethymno’s old town. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the port, beaches, fortress, and all the main attractions. The house was spotless, extremely well cared for, and fully equipped with everything we could need — beach towels, shower towels, hair dryer, and a kitchen with all the amenities. On top of that, we were welcomed with thoughtful extras: water, coffee, things to make breakfast with, and of course, delicious baklava and kataifi. Mr. Paraskevas, the owner, was incredibly welcoming — he gave us a tour of the villa on arrival, explained where we could find everything we needed, and made us feel right at home. Communication through Booking was also smooth, efficient, and very helpful. What made our stay even more special was that Mr. Paraskevas works right across the street at his traditional phyllo workshop. Not only was it convenient to find him if we needed anything, but we also got to taste his amazing pastries — he makes the best baklava in the world, truly a must-try when staying here! Overall, a beautiful villa with great hospitality in the best location. Highly recommended!

Spacious, in several levels with a terrace, beautifully renovated/ decorated, very well located in the old town of Rethymno. Very nice welcome by the owner!

The property was just fantastic. The location could not have been better, and our host Paras was so hospitable, inviting us into the family filo pastry bakery…. Which turns out is the last traditional bakery in Crete. The interior was excellent, and it turns out Paras did the work himself…. Just lovely! My mother had the master bedroom which was spacious and beautifully decorated. My teenage daughter had the mezzanine bedroom which she loved. I had the top bedroom with en-suite that linked to the surprise roof terrace… I totally recommend

“A wonderful traditional property, perfect for a family stay.”

Fantastic location quiet but only a couple of minutes from restaurants bars and shops. Traditional building renovated to high standards, fully equipped. Lovely hosts who run filo pastry bakery opposite, welcoming us past midnight when our flight was delayed. Great welcome pack so we had everything we needed for breakfast.

Meeting the owner who was able to show us through his property and explain how everything works, a little history lesson about the property was also great. The online photos do not do justice to this magnificent property, you need to visit to truly appreciate its history and beauty. The owner and his wife along with their awesome Baklava made our family holiday one to remember.

The apartment is amazingly furnished. The owner is friendly. Three floors, comfortable bedrooms, a nice terrace. The kitchen is well equipped.

The house was very central in the Old Town of Rethymno. The owner was very attentive to our needs with advice and help as he runs a bakery across the street where he gives daily demonstrations of his craft to groups of tourists. He was even there to greet us with the keys and a tour of this lovely house when we arrived late to check in. He was also very helpful when he allowed us to check out late and leave our baggage in the house as we had a late flight home. He even gave us gifts from his wonderful bakery when we were leaving. We were a wedding party and the single room came in very handy for my daughter the bride to stay the night before the wedding, again no problem to our host. I would recommend this lovely recently renovated property.

This is a beautiful townhouse in the heart of old town, near many restaurants. The house has been recently renovated so everything is new and fresh. It is also super spacious with 3 separate shower/toilets, so ideal for a few people to share. There is air conditioning in all rooms, and a lovely roof terrace. The photos don't do the property justice. Even though it is busy at night the sound does not seem to travel in. It is right opposite the famous Phyllo man (who happens to own the property) and he is so lovely in bringing hand-made baklava each day.
