“A superb stay with great charm, right in the heart of Rethymnon”

Our stay here was absolutely superb! At first, entering during the day, we were a bit shocked because it was pitch black inside (the wooden shutters were closed). But as soon as we opened them and let the light in, we completely changed our minds. The room has very high ceilings (around 4m). We stayed in the "Red" room, which has a loft bedroom upstairs – our child loved it up there! The mattress was very comfortable and the linen was spotless. The location is fantastic, right in the center and very close to the harbor, offering great value for money. For those interested in nightlife, there are plenty of cafes and night clubs with great music just a short walk away on the right side towards the beach. The shared kitchen is located on the first floor and serves all the rooms. It has all the basics: kitchenware, a coffee machine (Greek coffee is delicious, so definitely buy some locally), and an oven where we even baked frozen croissants. Your experience here might depend on your neighbors 😃, but we were the only ones cooking during our stay. We barely saw the other guests, except for when they checked in/out and once on the terrace. Another huge plus is the washing machine available, though you need to bring/buy your own detergent. (Note: no cooking oil is provided). A major plus was the upstairs terrace with umbrellas, perfect for morning coffee. For affordable grocery shopping, we highly recommend the shop near the Municipal Park, as prices there are much better.

“A great stay in a converted stone stable”

Antonia’s house is in a converted old stable in a very quiet pedestrian street 60m from a car park near the harbour and a 2 minute walk to the bustling old town, shops and restaurants. The 3 rooms with ensuites are upstairs and tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and maximising the space available. There was a great terrace at the top to relax or have drinks.

The house is sited in an ideal position, close to the old town and the Venetian harbour. The street outside doesn't look too exciting but the inside is a surprise – a bit like a cave. Downstairs is a communal kitchen. The bedrooms are up the stairs and at the top there is a small roof terrace to sit in the evening. (Look for the swifts coming in to roost under the tiles.) There has obviously been a lot of effort put into making it a 'trendy/arty' (take your pick) place, using the available space well. Whether you like it depends on your taste.

A really quirky apartment near the port area with lighthouse and waterfront restaurants. Just near to the old fortress and right in the middle of the quaint streets of Rethymno filled with shopsand nice restaurants. Beautiful furnishings, cared for in every detail, with excellent taste and perfect harmony. Great communication from the host; she was really very kind and ready to provide us with any information

A really quirky apartment filled with loads of character and in a great location, 1 min walk to the port area with lighthouse and waterfront restaurants. Just a short 5 min walk to the old fortress and right in the middle of the quaint streets of Rethymno filled with shops, restaurants and Bougainville trees. A flat 15 min walk from the bus stop. Great communication from the host. Nice window shutters for a dark room, some great artwork throughout the room and the shared coffee making and cooking area downstairs. A compact but nice bathroom.

We stayed at Antonia's house and we absolutely recommend it. It is closely located to the center, it is clean, nicely decorated and the hosts communicates very clearly. There is a shared space on the ground floor that has a complete kitchen, where you can cook and it has a fridge. You can leave your car close the the 'viewpoint over the Aegean sea' for free, which is a 10 min walk. We ate at Galini restaurant, at the end of the street, but the food is basic, and we think there are many other places that are cheaper and have better, authentic food.

It was an amazing 500 year old building converted into a boutique hotel. Perfect for large parties holidaying together. The location was excellent, within walking distance of great restaurants, bars and shops.

Antonia's house is perfectly located next to the old harbour and the main spot of the old town (the mosque, shops and restaurants, the fountain). The building is an old venetian house perfectly keep with style. There is a big kitchen all fournished and a lovely rooftop terrace!

The location is perfect, the room wonderful.
