“Wonderful overnight chateau stay”

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely location. Large, well decorated room with comfortable bed and top quality bed linen. Warm welcome from the hosts, who provided an excellent home-cooked three course meal in the evening. Good continental breakfast buffet with an amazing range of jams and honey produced on the estate. Sadly we were only making an overnight stop en route to Perigueux, as we would have loved to take more time to explore the grounds of the chateau. Thoroughly recommended.

Delightful property set in landscaped gardens, a warm welcome by our hosts Philibert and Brigitte who did everything to make our stay memorable. Room and bed very comfortable with attention to every detail. Our dinner consisting of homemade produce and family estate wines served in an elegant salon overlooking the garden was most enjoyable, as was the breakfast.

Beautiful Chateaux and grounds located in 'the Berry' close to the A20 and a perfect mid-point staging post, if, like us, you are travelling from the UK to the South of France. We ordered dinner on arrival and our charming hosts cooked a wonderful three course meal. accompanied by a superb red wine from their vineyard in "La Clape" in the Lanquedoc. Our bedroom and en suite bathroom was spacious and clean with a wonderful view of the grounds and we had a great night's sleep on a very comfortable king-sized bed. A decent French breakfast completed our stay and set us up for the rest of our journey to the Corbieres.. Will definitely stay at L:Abeaupiniere again!

Breakfast was laid out in a beautiful fining room. We were offered a cooked breakfast but opted for the fresh bread, croissants, home made jams, fresh fruit and yoghurt. All delicious. “Enjoyable & comfortable stay in a stylish chateau with exception food served by charming hosts.”

A very generous sized bedroom, nicely decorated with a spacious bathroom and large shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our hosts were charming. The dining experience was particularly memorable in lovely surroundings; breakfast was excellent and the evening meal exceptional. The swimming pool was a bonus.

We stayed for one night on our way home to UK. We loved the chateau, its location and ambience. We had a guest lounge with a log fire, tea, coffee and biscuits. The room was full of historical artefacts about the family and the chateau which was very interesting. We felt very at home sitting in front of the fire. Our bedroom was large, warm and very comfortable . The en-suite was modern and clean. We booked a three course vegetarian evening meal which was delicious and very good value, made from local produce from the chateau. Breakfast had a good range of choice. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We would like to say a big thank you to Brigitte and Philibert for opening their home to us and we highly recommend this beautiful place for a stay. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore the surroundings.

Traditional French, family owned Château, set in large grounds with (unheated) pool and plenty of walking in 100 hectares of land/forest. Bridget and Phillibert and their neice, Astrid, looked after us very well from arrival, through excellent evening meal and breakfast. Setting very quiet and tranquil.

Very good place to stay with kids. Sandbox, swing and playhouse what do kids need more. Also food was very good.

We loved our stay at L’Abeaupiniere! The ambience, the delicious dinner and breakfast, our lovely (Rose) room with its empirer super comfy bed, the pool and walking in the grounds and forest. Perfect - thank you for a great stay.

The breakfast was wonderful, our host and chef Brigitte is a truly warm and generous woman- very talented with her cooking. The dinner we enjoyed was fabulous- an incredible experience all round. An amazing chateau, a lovely, warm family feel to the place- she and her husband Philibert are fantastic hosts who are friendly and welcoming. I can't say enough how utterly magical this place is- we left with homemade wine, honey, jams and spreads. Everything they made was delicious, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again- my advice- try anything homemade by Brigitte- you won't be disappointed!
