Eclectic chalet set in the woods away from the main road. Very Hansel & Gretel. Not isolated as many other similar cabins around the area too. Close enough to Lulea (<40mins) to make flight without silly start times. Impression that its a family's northern cabin and they rent it out when they don't need it so you really get a feel of Sweden rather than some bland national chain. Tolerant host when I messed up the booking with a typo in my email address so never received any confirmation etc. Be aware the numbers provided created issues with contact and the only way I resolved the issue was a direct phone call to the owner (messages didn't work UK to SK number) followed by multiple calls to Booking.com customer services until they spotted the simple typo error. Well equipped with lots of space for a family for a fortnight (we were just two for one night). Everything we used worked and although we ate out in Ranbyn (lovely steak) I'm sure you could cook for 6 without issue. Beds were comfy with good blinds and enough blankets etc.

The place is decorated with such a great sense of detail, which made us feel super welcome right away. Everything was prepared to welcome us: there was plenty of dry wood for the fireplace and sauna, the kitchen even had a couple of things for us to use like tea/coffee and bread. The host came over to welcome us and even supplied us with some bark to help us in starting the fire. Overall we loved our stay there and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy remote cabin to stay in!
