“Security Breach and Unacceptable Owner Behavior – Left in the Middle of the Night”

Cleanliness: The standards were poor. The dishwasher was heavily molded and unfit for use. Additionally, the shower curtain was very smelly and unhygienic. Safety/Disturbance: On the second night, we were woken up by extremely loud, aggressive banging on the front door in the middle of the night. We learned this was the owner attempting to gain entry for a late booking, as they lacked a spare key. Owner's Behavior: The owner was visibly agitated and made alarming statements about "breaking in," making us feel extremely unsafe. Due to the fear and stress from the disturbance and the owner's comments, we packed immediately and left the property in the middle of the night. We have reported the incident to Booking and are seeking a refund. The stay was a negative and unsafe experience.

Mateja was a great host. The house is well equipped, two toilets, one bathroom. The kitchen was spacious to prepare meals and to enjoy them there. There is a beautiful back yard.

I would recommend this accommodation to travelers who enjoy hostel-style places, especially because of the shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. While it wasn’t the most comfortable option for us personally, it did meet all the basic needs and functional overall.

Mateja was great. Breakfast local fantastic.

We are disappointed with the place, there is nothing like on the pictures. It's very outdated, old furnitures and dump smell in the room. Breakfast did not worth 10 euros at all. They should not sell this place, just after a massive refurbishment. For 2 nights was okay, we were not there all day, but I really do not recommend it!

Free parking right outside the door, dog-friendly and a nice wooded area with a stream close by for a walk, lovely and warm in all areas and plenty of hot water, nice lavendar soap in the shower, good towels, use of the washing machine, unlimited tea/coffee/hot chocolate, equipped kitchen and use of the fridge, charming antique bedroom furniture, a huge comfy bed and plenty of bedding/blankets. Greeted by the owner on arrival who lives next door, and then chatted a few minutes with the guy working on their new property who's so nice and friendly. Proximity to Lake Bled, Lidl, and a pretty village called Radovljica. Vila Podvin is a Michelin Star restaurant in the village but unfortunately it wasn't open during my stay.
