The owner is very easy to contact via WhatsApp, easy access, great communication throughout our stay. Location is fine, close to the center. AC appreciated even though a bit noisy.

Photos with room absolutely do not match, and way of entering and unfriendly / rude behavior of owner and putting priorities somewhere else than with customers if you have questions has ensured that I left almost immediately after receipt and looked for accommodation elsewhere in the city. also after my departure no more answers or steps to take anywhere. So do not call here but elsewhere in the city, you will absolutely not regret not having to spend the night here!

“Change the mattress!”

The neighborhood seemed sort of scary but the staff told me it was safe and I asked a tourist couple who passed by about safety and they said it was okay. But when I went to the corner market (Pali) the armed security guard told me that it is a dangerous neighborhood and I needed to get a taxi otherwise I would get shot! So I took the taxi for the two blocks! The mattress in my room was the most and I mean the most uncomfortable thing I had ever slept on. I would have rather slept on the floor than that bed. It was thin and had springs pocking into my body no matter how I positioned myself. Positive points: Very nice staff; air conditioning; semi warm water for shower (unusual in CR) and TV that worked, also you could get to market and a nice chicken restaurant within walking distance. I think overall it was okay but until they change the mattress I would not book with them again.

We reserved two separate one bedroom rooms. They however didn’t give us the rooms we reserved and tried to put us in a three bed room. We are volunteers and our company won’t let girls and guys stay in the same room. Due to them giving our rooms away and giving us the wrong reservation we had to find a different hotel last minute. The staff was very rude and didn’t help with the situation. They immediately kicked us off the property and were very unapologetic when we showed them the confirmation of what we booked. They said we either had to take the room we didn’t book or leave.

“I wouldn't recommend this location.”

I thought I was getting 3 private rooms with a bath each. I was not informed I needed to bring cash to pay and didn't have it with me. The bed I slept in was as hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. 3 people shared the smallest bathroom ever. There was little to no hot water in the shower. The wifi didn't work most of the time.

Owners, who are running the apartments are extremely friendly, helpful family! Even when we checked in too early, they completely didn’t mind. The location is great - close to the city centre, but still a bit outside. In the morning you can be awake by the singing of birds. Room is basic, but there is everything what you need - coffe machine, cooking stuff, air conditioning and private bathroom with hot water. We really recommend to stay here!

“Simple, basic, Safe”

I like the entire place, people running it are super nice also. Location is awesome with a grocery store 2 blocks away, smaller store half block away. Beaches within 5 to 10mins Simple, basic and affordable. Safe Check is is very easy, location is so easy to find. (Walking away from the beach turn left at the Pali and walk until bend in the road. HUGE sign tells you your home :)

Cockroach in the room, no mirror in the bathroom, poor lighting, very old and poor mattress. Who, for God's sake, will install air conditioning directly above the bed?! We could't find the hotel. No sign on the building. No doorbell. Everything locked. Some strangers helped us to find and call to the owner. Problem with payment. They try to play a game that they do not have dollars to change. They wanted to change the colons for my 100$ banknote at an unfavorable exchange rate. Don't land on it. After 10min they finally found the dollars for change.
