Just 200 metres from the Shotover River, the historic Old Ferry Hotel Bed & Breakfast offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and lovely garden views. Built in 1868, it features a barbecue area and a guest lounge with a fireplace and a TV. The Ferry Bed & Breakfast is 5 minutes’ drive from Frankton Golf Course. Queenstown International Airport and Lake Wakatipu are each just an 8-minute drive away. The heated rooms feature an electric kettle, a bathrobe and a bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries. The tour desk can book local activities including sky diving, jet boating, bungee jumping. The property also offers a library and a guest laundry. “A great stay, with very friendly, helpful hosts!”
The breakfast was excellent, with a very good variety of cereals , fruit, oats and cooked food. The location was perfect, not very far from Queenstown, in a peaceful, quiet setting. We loved the chickens and guinea pigs in the pretty garden, just outside our room.

Exceptional stay at The Ferry. Beautiful property. Quality throughout. Hosts really helpful and friendly. Tea and home made brownies on arrival. Lovely lounge area. Breakfast was fantastic. The hosts are obviously great cooks. Looked like something out of a fine dining experience. And tasted just as good. Quality toiletries, lovely thick towels, electric blankets, laundry facilities available. This is a wonderful BnB.

“It truly feels like a home away from home. Could not rave more as the best place I've ever stayed”
My partner and I both loved the coziness of the room and shared areas. We especially loved the well cooked breakfast sat with other travellers, inviting us to share stories of our trip. Dan and Mitzi were extremely welcoming and made it feels as if we were invited into their own home. If one is after a more intimate and antiquated travel through Queenstown or just looking to be around friendly faces The Ferry could not be more highly recommend.

“Most beautiful accommodation in Queenstown with the best breakfast each day!”
One of our most favourite stays ever!! Beautifully appointed room, exceptional breakfast each day, home baked treats each afternoon and chocolates on our pillows. So much attention to detail, inside and out, the gardens, the building, the memorabilia, the furniture!! We loved watching the silky chicken and Guinea pigs out our window too. Dan & Mitzi are so welcoming & helpful. We got so many great tips of where to go & what to do.
