Amazing blend of history and comfort. The incorporation of the museum and active church made for an unique experience. Gardens to wander, places for solitude, great oral histories in the museum. Very short walk to the Old Town action

“Tranquil gateaway in a central location where any faith is welcome”

I chose the cheaper stay so went for the 'traditional nun experience' (single bed, old furniture, shared bathroom) and I enjoyed it. Always found a shower room or bathroom available and facilities were very clean. Breakfast was healthy and simple for once and done in silence which I loved. They give you a complementary bus pass for 3 days of you stay for more than 2 nights, plus tour of the monastery, access to the museum and option to pay for yoga, meditation and massages.

“A quiet, peaceful abode steep in history that I would not hesitate to return to.”

The monastery is set in a walled compound just a little downhill from the old city centre so it was was quiet and peaceful despite the bustle of the main streets. The shared bathroom situation is not a big inconvenience because there are several shower rooms on my floor. They were very clean and I didn't have to queue at all. Other than the accommodation aspect, the monastery also has a museum and it was worthwhile exploring its history and gardens too. It's perfect for solo travellers. I slept well and felt very rested even after just a night. Would love to be able to visit again.

Great location. The building is modern and aesthetic. Being a monastery, there's a beautiful curated exhibition about it's history. The breakfast was amazing as well. The rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms, although shared, were large and spotless. As a solo female traveller, it was very safe and comfortable

As a solo traveller, I felt safe and welcome. The breakfast was delicious and the kind of quality that really makes you appreciate food. I felt such serenity staying here, the facilities are fantastic and the location is central to all the best bits. I want to come again!!
