Overview
Located on the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn, Hotel Dania offers comfortable rooms in the town of Puttgarden. It is 1 km to both the beach and the harbour which offers connections to Denmark. All rooms at Hotel Dania feature a seating area, cable TV, and have an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Some rooms also have a view of the sea. “Probably the last time we stay.”
We stayed twice in 2 weeks. The first time there was no fridge, the second time there was. Inconsistent. We had 3 glasses in the room. All different. With a bit of thought in a hotel this size if you cared you could have organised matching glasses. This point isn’t about glasses, it’s about indifference in the way the hotel is run. It’s the 4th time in 14 months we have stayed here. After the first time we didn’t eat in the restaurant again. There is literally no competition in the village and your restaurant should be full. It’s not. Breakfast is very poor value so we now eat on the ferry or the motorway, depending in our direction of travel.

Perfect location for getting the ferry to Denmark. Quite traditional decor and a bit dated but was clean and comfy enough. No kettle but the staff did let us have some hot water. Mainly great as an easy stopover for onward travel.

Friendly staff, check-in well-organized. Large and very quiet room with harbour view. Good breakfast with all kinds of fresh bread rolls, cheese and meat products, scrambled eggs and sausages, yoghurts and more. Restaurant open to 22:00. Free Parking place, nice hotel for overnight stay near ferry.

Perfect location when going with the early ferry and just nedx to sleep a couple of hours. They were very welcoming with our cat. 🌟🌟 It was nice beds and clean.

Very good value for money considering the location and the size of the rooms. We were just looking for a place to spend the night and that suited us perfectly. The team was also able to provide two child's bed as requested
