“Disapppointing stay Right at the Ferry Dock”

Unfortunately, the apartment is right at the ferry dock, which means constant noise from the ships all night long, and starting at 2 AM, trucks queue up right outside the door. Their engines and trailers keep running to power the air conditioning. The apartment has no soundproofing at all. The parking spot is on the sidewalk directly in front of the apartment. We didn't need the proximity to the ferry. Puntarenas overall is completely rundown. 

“Perfectly Pacific Puntarenas!”

Our hosts, W & R, were friendly, accommodating and located on-site. They were quick to respond to all questions and requests. This location is perfect, across the street from the Ferry and between many restaurants and sights. It was a 13 minute walk to the stadium, where we saw a futbol game. Its situation on the Paseo made it convenient for us to sightsee on foot. Beach LITERALLY across the road. Sitting on the front patio, sipping coffee, watching the black spiny-tailed iguanas sunning themselves, while passengers readied themselves for their ferry trip was, to us, ideal. Very nice staff! They cleaned the room right after the previous guest had left to allow me to check in early, which was so kind. The room is bigger than what it looks in pictures, very clean and nice decoration. I was positively surprised by this place. Had free toiletries also (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, and not even the cheapest stuff). They spoke perfect English. Right next to the ferry terminal. Could have stayed longer!

Great location and lovely views across the water. With free parking, A/C, fridge, and coffee machine. The host was very pleasant and responsive to my messages, also offering us local information on restaurants etc.

Perfect staff, owners are super fine. Room is perfectly clean.

“Good transit place”

This was a transit place for us as we wanted to stop for the night before moving on to Quepos. Orlando, the owner, is a VERY nice man. He was waiting for us when we got off the fairy. This facility is literally 2 minutes from the ferry terminal, so the location is great if you are in transit (absolutely not for a long stay). This place is very small, but it was very clean and offered a great shower, and a confortable bed. It also provides air conditioning which is a must, and a small fridge.

Super clean and super cute room! Really nice touches added to make the stay super comfortable and PERFECT for anyone in transit needing to take the ferry. There was coffee for the morning and all necessities like towels and sheets and pillows. The hosts were so kind and I felt very safe and welcome. Nice to know they were close by but the room is still very private!

The apartment is clean. Close to sea, short distance to the ferries and centrum of the city with attractions, good place for short and longer stays, free tee and coffee, friendly owners.
