“Wow - exceptional experience”

This was more than just a stay, it is a full experience. The hosts were exceptional organising taxis from the bus terminal, boat transfer to the island, full meals throughout the stay, a guided tour of uros, canoes to use to explore the lake, we couldn’t have asked for more

“Experience of a lifetime!”

This was maybe the best experience we have ever had (we stayed for 3 nights). Cesar and Lucy are the perfect hosts with their warmth and hospitality. They organized our pick up from the bus station in Puno and all transfers to the island. They reacted always super quick when we had questions or needed something. Also, breakfast, lunch and dinner were incredibly delicious (you could feel the passion they were prepared with). What impressed us maybe the most was the trip organized by Cesar to show us the Uros islands (all included in the stay). You could feel how important the tradition, values and togetherness of the Uros community is for him. On top of that, the accomodation is perfectly organised, has very comfortable beds and pillows, warm blankets and gas heating that will keep you more than warm at night. Cesar will also provide you with warm bottles to warm up your bed! Bathroom is spacious and we have never had problems with warm water. The view is unmatched both at sunrise and at sunset, and the location itself is stunning (staying on a reed island), something you will not forget in a lifetime. Could not recommend more to stay with Cesar and Lucy (also supporting local communities). I would rate 11 if I could.

“The perfect place to rest and relax”

Everything! César, Lucy & Eddie work very hard to make sure their guests have a great stay. We certainly did. The casas are very comfortable with amazing views over beautiful Lake Titicaca and each has a sit-out area with deck chairs and a day bed. The food was delicious and plentiful and César even supplied hot water bottles for the slightly chilly nights even though the casas are well-heated. There’s plentiful hot water in the bathroom. Don’t miss the visit to a nearby island during which César describes how the floating islands are constructed and explains the culture of the people of the Uros. He gives a genuine and heartfelt insight. This really is an exceptional place in a remote and beautiful area. The family deserves all the success that comes their way. Please stay with them!

We loved the food being served and the overall design of the room and outside day bed. Our host Cesar was friendly and even provided us with hot water bottles during the night since it gets cold on the lake.

The cabin is very spacious, cozy, and has amazing views. The room stayed warm during the night thanks to the gas heater, and good blankets were provided. The employee serving the food was very kind and helpful, and the food we did eat was tasty. There was also hot water in the shower, although the pressure was low, which is understandable given the remote location.

“Wonderful place to experience the Uros islands.”

The host, Caesar is very kind and speaks good english, arranged our transfer to and back to the Kalapajra port, the taxi arrived at the arranged time and picked us up from Puno centre. Caesar came to the port for us and took us to his floating lodge. He showed us around the floating islands and answered all our questions about the real life on Uros islands. The lodge has a special vibe with exeptionally beautiful view to the lake, and in our case, to the sunset upon Titkaka lake. We loved to lie on the outside bed and just to watch the coming ang going on the lake. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable and with the many blanket and hot water bottles we didn't even needed to turn on the provided gas heater. The food was delicious, we were well taken cared of. Caesar really went out of his way to fulfill our every need, as we had to be at the busterminal early in the morning: he provided breakfast for us and took us to the port by boat and arranged our taxi to the busterminal.

The hotel was very spacious, cozy and romantic with excellent views of the lake. Cesar was an excellent host and tour guide with brilliant English and of course Spanish. Being a native of the lake his knowledge was great and again I’d emphasise how well he portrayed this in English.

I can note rate this highly enough, the most amazing experience! After being in Cusco for three weeks this find was an absolute gem. So peaceful sitting on a day bed on the lake, it was incredible. Cesar is an incredible host, lively tour around the other islands, lovely food and so incredibly peaceful. An absolute highlight to my trip and I highly recommend.

Señor César and his staff are incredibly warm and attentive; you feel welcome right away. The accommodations are comfortable, clean, and lovingly designed, despite the unique construction on the water. The combination of traditional culture and modern comfort is particularly impressive. The food was also excellent—fresh, local, and very tasty. If you’re looking for a unique experience far away from mass tourism, this is the place for you. Highly recommended!

Incredibly hospitiable! Couldn't have been more helpful with accommodating a late check in and organising a transfer. The views of the island, the tour and the food were all brilliant too. I'd highly recommend and definitely return.
