Incredible warmth of the family who hosts it. Their kindness and hospitality created such a comfortable and authentic atmosphere. Food was excellent, using fresh ingredients. The opportunity of seeing and feeling the traditional way of life was a unique experience.

“A wonderful stay on Uros Island”

“An enjoyable Titicaca experience”

The family who lives on the island is friendly and helpful. We loved the boat tour with the local guide Yolanda who was knowledgeable and spoke very clearly. We also enjoyed the food!!

“The most magical stay”

Had the most amazing time, half way through our first day we knew we had to prolong our stay so stayed for an extra night, and honestly we were still not ready to leave. Beautiful location, so peaceful. Super friendly hosts, not at all pushy for food/ excursions. We did kayaking on the lake at a price of 50 soles. Food was super tasty and plentiful and well priced at 25 soles per dinner and 15 soles for lunch. The best place we have stayed in Peru, we’re already talking about coming back. Definitely get the room with the balcony.

“Uniqlo experience”

We liked everything. It was unique experience ti stay there in the Siri’s island. From Manuel we learnt a lot about the history of Urus,about local people. It was amazing to stay and relax and to see the amazing Titilaka lake. We did kayaking thanks to Manuel. We even swam in titilaka.we went with the motor boat to see the local people and hid they live. Manuel family is very hosting and welcoming people. 100% everyone should try.

Everything! This place has a especial positive energy. Jhene, Manuel and their family made us feel like home. We had the chance to listen to their way of living in a community and as Manuel said, how they are “adapting traditions, but not forgetting them”. It was such an enriching experience for us. They have put a lot of effort and love into building such a nice accomodation in a floating island. The room was amazing, very clean, with fantastic views and very comfy. We were worried about the cold nights, but the bed is very well prepared, with a lot of blankets and a small gas heating, that we only used for 30 mins (and we reached -2°C). The terrace of the room is really peaceful, with an outdoor bed, two lying chairs and a table with tow dining chairs where the breakfast was served. The food was delicious. Breakfast was included in the price and comprised tea, sandwiches and fruits. We also had lunch and dinner there. The trout is highly recommendable. For an extra cost, Manuel offered us a boat tour around the Uros islands and explained the life there. Also we rented a kayak and could explore on our own the Titicaca lake. I wish we could come back again 😍

“Perfect to relax!”

Quechuas Lodge is definitely one of the best accommodations we had on our entire trip. The rooms are basic, but incredibly cozy. The love that has been put into it, the friendly hosts, the terrace with a daybed and a table and chairs are perfect for switching off. The short tour with the host was also very interesting and a lot of fun. The host mother and the children were also incredibly nice and accommodating. The food tasted great, was reasonably priced and great to eat on the terrace. Yes, it's basic, but that's exactly what we wanted here. 10/10!!!

“A beautiful, unique and tranquil stay on the floating islands”

This was a truly unique and relaxing stay. Manuel and Jhene were very welcoming and accommodating, always responsive over WhatsApp to any questions or requests. On my final day I had to leave very early, and they brought breakfast to my room at half 6 (even though normally breakfast is from 7am) - they offered to do this without me even asking. It was very kind. It's easy to arrange tours through Manuel, I did a few and these were really interesting as well. Other than that, this is a great place to just relax, especially when it's sunny enough to sit out on the terrace and watch the world go by! The breakfast and food in the restaurant was very good, there was always plenty of hot water for tea/coffee which was appreciated in the cold mornings and evenings.

Very well organized. We arrived rather late and departed early which was not a problem. Manuel organized all the transportation from and to the bus terminal for us. He also showed as around by boat and brought us to Puno and back to the island anytime we wished to. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated with a great view of the lake. Manuel always responded quickly to our messages. He always available and very friendly.

The location was magnificent. We enjoyed watching a romantic lightning storm on lake Titicaca. The fresh Brown Trout was delicious. Manuel and his wife were very attentive and explained everything clearly. The extra bed on the veranda overlooking the lake was delightful. The beds in the room were very comfortable with plenty of blankets to stay warm.
