The beach by the Sofritel is a great. Frequented by locals while they rebuild. Close to the museum too. Great food at the Sunset beach restaurant

“Simply the best place to stay in Tahiti”
You think overwater bungalows are your top option? Think it twice! At this lovely, cosy little accomodation you get everything you need. Hosts are super friendly (if you speak Frencn, it is a bonus, but we handled EVERYTHING with google translate pretty well). What does not turn out first from the description is that you basically get a 1 min. walk to ONE OF THE BEST BEACHES in Tahiti! Swimming, relaxing, snorkeling? YOU NAME IT! We were simply amazed how bang for buck this place is. Again, it is basically an accomodation where you get a private beach... You need small or big shops? You get them. You want to catch a bus? 1 min. walk. You want to go out to the shore, only you and the stars above you? Easy. And what made it even better is that the accomodation is not an IKEA-one, not some cheesy stuff - real, fun and AUTHENTIC TAHITI EXPERIENCE. We will def. come back if possible.

“Lovely tropical escape”
Very authentic place, decorated with love for detail. Centrally located close by a local beach and an amazing bakery, bus is also nearby but car is more convenient. The hosts are super responsive and very helpful, there is also snorkeling equipment provided, which is super nice. Overall I had a very good time, thank you.

“Charming and cosy home in Tahiti”
We absolutely loved our stay with David and Lowina, who both are very welcoming and kind! The bungalow is very cosy and decorated with much eye for the detail, we would have loved to stay longer! Closeby is an amazing snorkeling spot and a lovely bakery we went to every day. It was the perfect location for us to discover Tahiti (by car) while staying in a charming and local neighbourhood!

“Nice Bedroom incl. kitchen, fridge for an unbeatable Price”
David is a very friendly and responsive host and even provided laundry service which was for me as backpacker super important and gladly appreciated. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and equipped with 2 fans to cool down the place at night. The balcony is super nice with a table, mini Bar and a kitchen and fridge to cook for yourself. Would def. book again when I am back in Tahiti. Also really close to the beach which is accessible by a 2min foot walk. Also the check in instructions were very clear available in French and English.

The accommodation was such a great place to relax and unwind. Tastefully decorated and without AC just the way I like it. Comfortable bed and private. David was super friendly and even took me to the airport at 1am when I couldn't get a taxi. I highly recommend this place
