We had an unforgettable stay at this incredible place Vila Pina 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the host Eric and Sharon made us feel truly at home. The level of personal care and attention was exceptional — always available with helpful advice with a smile, especially when it came to planning tours and making the most of the area. The setting is simply magical, surrounded by nature. Every day we saw wildlife right outside — monkeys swinging through the trees and even sloths nearby, which made the experience feel so special and unique. Breakfast was anot her highlight: a fresh, home-cooked meal every morning with a different menu each day. You could really feel the love and thought put into every dish. This was more than just a stay — it was a complete experience that we will never forget. Amazing place to stay. Sharon, Eric and their team are great hosts, we felt very welcome and they gave us great tips for the area. They provide coffee to the room every morning and an amazing breakfast. The villas are spacious and equipped with everything you need.

A beautiful oasis with exceptional staff

We had a great time, and absolutely loved everything. The place is clean, pleasant, beautiful, and full of greenery. There is a cute sloth in the tree right in front of the villa, and the owners’ cats and dogs are also incredibly sweet and friendly. The pool is clean and very enjoyable, the breakfast prepared on site is delicious, and the hosts were super warm, social, and kind to us. We truly felt welcomed and had a wonderful experience.

Just a dream. We had the best time at Villa Piña and it was undoubtedly the best accomodation we had the whole holidays(and we travelled a lot😅) The owners were amazing, always helpful and up for a chat. The breakfast was superb and waking up with all the different animals and so much green around was the cherry on top. Finally, the location was perfect, short walk to the beach and a soda or a short drive to Puerto Viejo town.

Beautiful, well-maintained property with a breathtaking garden. The managers, Eric and Sharon, are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, with delicious tropical fruit juice every day. Overall, a highly recommended property.

“The most relaxing stay in Puerto Viejo.”

The hosts were absolutely amazing, so hospitable. They were always happy to give you tips on where to go and where to eat. They have a beautiful hotel full of wildlife and their lovely pets. The pool was great to relax at, a little frustrating that there was building work going on next door, but nothing Eric and Sharon could do about that. We had coffee each morning delivered to our room and a delicious 3 course breakfast. Easy access to a beach and sloth right outside our room. We couldn't have asked for more! I will definitely stay again if I am back in the area.

“Felt like home”

It it a very beautiful place to stay. Eric and Sharon are doing an awesome job. They are caring really about their guests and the time they spend here. We really liked this place, and it felt like home for the time we stayed. A solid 10 out of 10. The villas were really spacious and clean, and we felt the love they put in the detail in decorating the villas and the other places.

Super friendly hosts - they are a masterclass in hospitality and will always tend to your needs. Also really kind and great staff. Also we felt incredibly safe at this stay.

This place was calm, cozy and functional, definitely the place to be for a relaxed vacation time! Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, do not hesitate to ask them for tips and where to go if you don’t book tours prior to coming to Puerto Viejo.

The setting. The breakfast and pool area are set in a beautiful garden. The hosts have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into it. Also their recommendations really helped us make the most of our stay

“Paradise!”

Can't recommend this place enough. Sharon, Eric and all of the staff were lovely. This place is a little paradise and has so much wildlife in the grounds. We saw sloths, toucans, various other birds, bats, lizards, frogs etc. The breakfast was delicious, wifi good, shower good. Balcony was perfect to relax. Good parking. Roof terrace and pool for all to use. The location is a short walk from the beach - with a private entrance. Beds were comfy and had everything we needed in the room. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Costa Rica.

“Relaxing stay in a wonderfull garden”

Very beautiful Garden, with lots of animals to see, even toucans and sloth can be seen. The villas have a good standard and are equiped attractivly. The staff and owners are friendly and it is a good welcoming atmosphere. Eric had some good recommendations for us (beaches, parks, waterfalls…) Breakfast was also good and varied….We felt good and enjoyed the stay, even if we had kind if bad luck with the weather.

“Beautiful relaxing boutique villa with pool in magnificent garden setting”

The huge stunning beautifully maintained garden setting makes this boutique villa with only six suites such a memorable stay. In the gardens we saw a two toed sloth and a three toed sloth with a baby attached as well as a variety of birds including toucans as well as colourful frogs- such a treat. The pool without children was a lovely start to our mornings. Breakfast was delicious with multiple options every morning. The staff throughout the villa were gracious, helpful and friendly. We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the jungle walks as well as nearby town and restaurants. Our kind host drove us to a huge supermarket for our supplies as the rooms include a well set up large kitchen. It was easy to catch an uber into town for those who didn’t want the long walk along the beach to get there

“Perfect base for us extremely good value for money”

The hotel was lovely as were the breakfasts. The owners weee very very welcoming and happy to share their knowledge. A little walk out of town but it was a lovely walk and Ubers readily available if needed.
