“Great place to stay in Limón!”

Very tranquil. Calm oasis in the jungle, but you can still hear and see nature. Very friendly staff. Lovely yoga space.

Spacious room, with a super-comfortable bed and pillows. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Close to the village, but too far to walk to without a car. Very peaceful, incredibly quiet, right in the middle of the forest! Breakfast was ok. No TV, but that wasn’t a problem for us.

We loved our stay here so much that we extended twice

Cleaning could be better. During my stay, the bathroom was never cleaned. They only changed the towels.😕 I would definitely appreciate more yoga classes. Especially in the morning. That was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, but I didn’t attend a single class during my 8-day stay. They were always at 5 p.m., when I was already out exploring the city. There could definitely be a bit more variety for breakfast, but there’s something for everyone, and I always left feeling full.

“Stunning with great service”

The staff was extremely helpful and nice, the whole property is stunning with all the plants and the lovely common areas. The rooms are spaceous and the beds are comfy (so are the sunbeds by the pool). The breakfast is amazing and they go out of their way to make everything perfect for you. Would definitely recommend!

Spacious lodges, beautiful gardens and pool. Yoga classes included in your stay. Claire is an asset to Sonora; she couldn’t have been more helpful.

I had such a wonderful stay here and I’m truly grateful for the whole experience. The team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the staff made me feel at home from the very first moment. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, the villa was very clean, and the whole complex is stunningly beautiful. The yoga classes were also amazing ,the teachers are fantastic. Thank you for all the care and kindness I felt during my stay. I really hope to come back again someday!

Free yoga class, very spacious and clean. Massage service is amazing. They provided drinking water. Nice pool space.

“Excellent place to enjoy Puerto, quiet calm retreat with attentive brilliant staff”

The staff were a highlight of our stay - couldn't do enough for you, incredibly helpful and responsive and delicious food. Claire and her team (particularly Amarantha) were brilliant. Lots of nice places to lounge and very immersed in nature - we saw sloths and tucans just through lounging by the pool!

“Reastful place with great breakfast!”

Nice atmosphere, nice design of the place, relaxing. The staff was really nice and breakfast really excellent (Claire makes her own brioche, bread and jam, which are all delicious)! We definitely recommend :)

Amazing breakfast and great bedroom

The nice spacious quiet room is very comfortable, the included breakfast is very satisfying either if you like sweet or salty. The chef will gladly go the extra mile to satisfy your palate. For me the homemade hummus and the delicious scrambled tofu made my day.

“Namaste!”

At Sonora, I’ve got to say that less really is more. The place feels super peaceful and laid-back, no frills needed. The breakfast is fresh and tasty, and the beds are super comfy! The staff is really friendly, and I’ve got to give a shoutout to the hostess — I didn’t catch her name, but she was awesome! If you’re looking for a chill spot, I definitely recommend Sonora.

The property has a beautiful setting with relaxing jungle sounds and a lovely room. The pool was great, and the incredibly kind team helped us a lot with communicating in Spanish. An employee even kindly pointed out a sloth on the property to us.

“Relaxing stay away from the center”

Very nice and cosy resort with a relaxing vibe. Breakfast is great! We even got a breakfast to go on our final day when we had to leave very early. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

“Jungle Retreat”

The Hotel is in the jungle. We really liked the peace there. It is only suitable if you have an own car. The room is almost like on the pictures. The price - Facility Value was also good.

“Great atmosphere and confortable rooms”

The hotel apartments are very well decorated and are very spacious. The atmosphere is great in the room as it is outside. Great private balcony in every apartment. Kitchen had what we need for basic meals. The garden is pristine clean every day and very immerse in nature. The common Pool area is very comfortable as well and they provide clean towels and some drinks for guests. Good breakfast with a variety of options every day. Location is great (if you have your means of transportation). 10 minutes drive from Puerto Viejo.

“Stay at Sonora”

The room and bathroom were perfect. I also really enjoyed the common spaces including the seating area by the pool and the yoga studio; that's where I met some amazing people from around the world.
