Overview
Offering a bar-restaurant and lush gardens, Rocking J's is located right on Salsa Brava Beach in Puerto Viejo. This artistic hostel features a shared kitchen and TV lounge and free WiFi. “Difficult to resist!”
There’s something about this place that sucks you in. Difficult to resist. Maybe it’s the creativity and art. The beachfront is great. We've seen many sloths, monkeys and huge blue crabs. Stayed in Puerto Viejo for a few weeks and got back to Rocking J's multiple times. The 10 bed dorm right behind the reception is the best. Beds are comfy and you can turn on the AC whenever needed. No restrictions on that, which was a huge plus. On the other side of the street is a Mini-market. Bakery, self-laundry and town in walking-distance. Tuk-Tuks available pretty much all the time in this area. Some nights with live-music.

The amount charged for one night was unusually high and I didn't stay there but didn't return the keys to the room. I brought them today and they told me to pay for the 3 days I had the keys.

“tent on the beach property with characters”
Once I walked into the properly, followed in love with it. It's full of arts everywhere, every coners and exactly sits on the beach! tent is quite nice size, comfortable. sleep with the sounds of waves with such good price, can't find similar places nowhere. booked one night, stayed 6 nights. will definitely be back and recommend it to all.

The beach right off the hotel was great. The mosaics all through the place are spectacular. It's really a spot for young people.
