The property was excellent. It was clean, spacious and the facilities were very good. The owner was very welcoming. I highly recommend Jungle Bungalows.

Place is perfect for relaxing, take into account that is in the Hills of Puerto Viejo which is perfect for relaxing & they also have a small nice pool. Andrew many thanks for your kindness, hopefully I'll be back very soon!!

“Jungle/ beach bliss!”

Location, close to the beach and amenities. Bungalow has everything you need and the host is very hospitable with great tips and guidance for places of interest.

“Very kind host, cute little house on the side of the rainforest”

Andrew is one of the best hosts we have ever met. He explained a lot about the area and he's very helpful. He even offered to put our clothes into his dryer on check out day before we leave. Nice little house with well equipped kitchen (also with drinkable water tank), spacious and clean bathroom. High capacity washing machine for free use! Inside parking spot, (4x4 recommended to come up on the road). Small pool to cool down surrounded by jungle trees.

The owner, Andrew, was really friendly and helpful and explained everything about the property on arrival. He owns a Thai restaurant in town where we ate one evening and we felt like special guests and the food was glorious! We were able to hire bicycles from Andrew which we enjoyed riding ( though a bit challenging down the bumpy gravel road to the property) and these made it easy to get into Peurto Viejo town. Cocles beach is about a five minute walk and is a gorgeous sandy beach with fabulous waves and really not crowded at all. There are restaurants nearby to walk to that are good quality and sone nice beach bars. The bungalow has good aircon and fans in the rooms and the kitchen is well set up to make your own meals if you want with a full size fridge and nice chilled sofa area to sit outside. We used the washing facilities to freshen clothes and to swill things after getting sandy on the beach and there was some washing powder we could use. We also used the dip pool to cool down and that was nice. Parking was available and secure.

“A jewel of a property.”

First of all. If you are lucky enough to book this property, Andrew and his lovely wife could be the best hosts you could possibly ask for. The location is slightly off track, but once you become familiar with the town you’ll realise it offers cut above the rest in almost everything (aircon is a great bonus). If you are looking at this review and the accommodation is available, you would regret not booking for as long as your stay here is in Puerto Viejo. Thank you for your welcoming hospitality.

Private location within walking distance of the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. The front porch has very comfy couches, a coffee table and a nice small dining table. We cooked many of our meals here and had very enjoyable outdoor meals. The propery owner, Andrew, lives nearby and we had many opportunities to chat... he is a valuble source of informtaion on local activities and 'how to.' His young assistant, Bradley, is also a great help for anything one might need while staying in the casita. As an extra, aded benefit, Andrew owns an excellent Thai Fusion restaurant in Pto. Viejo, 'Chili Rojo.' Excellent food, doting service, and well prepared dishes at reasonable prices. Andrew's Lemongrass Coconut Flan is a must-try dessert.

“An amazing and comfortable little house !”

We had an amazing stay at the Jungle Beach Bungalow with my brother. As said in many comments, the pictures do not do the place justice. The host, Andrew, is a chef so the house has a lot of kitchen ustensiles to cook elaborate meals, the two rooms are spacious and very confortable, the bathroom has hot water, and is super modern. It's really a stupendous little house where you will have a wonderful time if you go there. Also, Andrew is very helpful and caring and super reactive. He makes his possible to make your stay the best possible !

Great access to the beach. saw tucans and armadillos when walking back from there. for British people, there's a kettle which was fantastic

“I wish I could have stayed longer!”

This place was perfect for a little getaway. Well equipped with everything from washing machines to coffee makers and a stove. It was quiet, comfortable and not too far away from the beach, great restaurants or the excitement of town.

Our host Andrew were very hepful and kind. The accomodation is very well situated, Just a few minutes walk from Cocos beach. The house was equiped, clean and cozy. I would absulately recommend! Petra sais that Bradley is also very sexy.

Very nice host that helped us whenever we needed something, provided drinkable water, and let us extend our stay an extra night. He was very helpful and offered us rides in his car and help us call for transportation when our phones didn't have service. Super comfortable beds, there was AC and all facilities you could need, including a washing machine. Outside shower for cleaning sand off and warm shower inside. Nice porch and nice spaces in the house as well. The house is uphill from the main road so you'll sleep without car noise.

The place was very kind to inform us about different places for shopping, enjoying the beach, restaurants. The owner was also kind and helpful with anything, with perfect English and Spanish, so there were no miscommunication issues."
