“Ideal for Solo”

The location, plus charm of the rooftop pool and the sheer size of the rooms + kitchenette takes it over the top to excellent. I was not that impressed at first but it's a great hotel for solo's as you tend to meet people easily here - tonnes of Canadians stay here so it was great chatting with people. You have instant walking access to all the hopping parts of town; Centro, the Malecon or Romantica. The rooftop is a little oasis. I miss that rooftop so much. The pools are cold though! I extended my stay here because I enjoyed it so much. Please be aware you are not getting luxury. This is resoundingly a barebones hotel but it has a lot going for it. I was solo and felt safe there as they lock the doors at midnight and there is always someone at the front desk. The Guadalupe church is quite close so you hear the bells all the time. There are a lot of birds in the area and some of them drink from the swimming pool. I loved the doves and birds.

We really loved the suite and the location. The staff were great. Great value except for the 1 ft deep "swimming" pool.

We thought that the staff was stellar. They were well informed, friendly and very helpful. They gave us very prompt service when requested. The hotel was very central.
