“Lovely place to stay near Tambopata River”

Rosa and Elvis were absolutely lovely. Rooms are basic, no AC but beds have mosquito nets and are comfy plus kitchen is available for use. Bit far from town but 10 min walk to a shop and I never had issues catching a ride from mototaxis or friendly neighbours into town. Wildlife is everywhere, woke up to a trio of monkeys in the kitchen one morning. Very cute dog and cat on property.

“Peaceful stay with lovely hosts and very beautiful surrounding”

The hosts are so friendly and welcoming with local tips for activities and very caring. The property is tranquil and with amazing garden with beauty all around, colourful plants and singing birds, the accommodation had everything that was needed.

Lovely host super friendly couldn’t do enough to help despite a slight language barrier haha.

Lovely family, beautiful place, good kitchen

Amazing garden full of so many tropical trees and medicinal plants which you can use as herbs for tea. And there are so many cute animals that step into the garden. To see the prehistoric bird, Hoazin/Shanso to fly behind the house in front of you is a nice treat. Also you can see in the morning squirells, capibaras and monkeys and in the night tarantulas. I staid for 5 days and there were no mosquitos.

Rosa and her family were very friendly and welcoming.

“Incredible”

Our stay with Rosa and Elvis was absolutely incredible. The place, the energy, their hospitality, the rich animal life in their garden. The smell of the jungle. Their dog Kira greeting us every time we enter the property makes this a truly magical experience. We expected to have a good time in Puerto Maldonado, but did not expect to make great new friendships in Rosa and Elvis. We mentioned for them on our second night that we were on our honeymoon, and the next day Rosa brought the beautiful garden inside and transformed our room into the perfect honeymoon suite. Their demeanour and energy made it easy for us to feel welcome and at home. We will forever cherish our late night talks about life, the unknown and future dreams.

The couple is the nicest ever. We where invited to the birthday, she showed us all the animals around and helped us with a jungle trip much cheaper than all you could book around and less touristy very nice stay👍

“The place to be”

The owner Rosa and her husband are lovely. They expained us a lot about plants which grow around there house. The kitchen is well equipped and has all you need. It's nice to hang around in the frontjard and relax a little.

Rosas house was an extremely comfortable and warm stay. Rosa and Elvis were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful during my stay. The area is so tranquil with wildlife and their own animals. There is lots of space to relax outside! It is a 10 minute walk up the road if you want to pick up some groceries, otherwise nothing much around unless you walk.

Rosa is an excellent host. We arrived tired with no vehicle or food. For a reasonable sum Rosa cooked us a delicious evening meal and we shared a lovely moment together.

“Most heart-warming stay I've ever experienced.”

Loved every moment of staying here. The host whom I want to call Mama Rosa was just so nice, kind, and warm-hearted lady. On my arrival, she welcomed me with a warm hug and took a very good care of me. I had her home cooked dinners and breakfast (20 soles each). Her cooking was lovely and filling. I can see why everyone who stayed in this place was so satisfied and happy. I recommend Rosa's House 100% and more.

“Very beautiful and cozy place in the nature, sweet people and dog.”

Rosa's House is an amazing place just outside the city of Puerto Maldonado. Rosa and Elvis make you feel at home and they have a very affectionate dog (Kira). My Spanish is not great but it is nice to practice it here because they are very patient. The food that Rosa cooks is local and tastes great. Their garden borders the jungle and Elvis gave us a nighttour twice. We saw tarantula's, snakes and porcupines. I am so happy that we stayed here and I would recommend this place to anyone!

I really enjoyed my two-weeks stay at Rosa's house ! :D Rosa and Elvis are beautiful people, very kind and friendly ! Kira and Kuka, the two dogs, are very friendly and affectionate too ^^ It's a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, the perfect location to relax, rest and meditate or going on adventures in the jungle. Rosa's house is at walking distance from the centre of Puerto Maldonado (about 1 hour) but if you don't want to walk, you can take a tuktuk or a mototaxi passing by. I highly recommend this place !

“Out in the woods”

Great location outside town, scenic

The accommodation is outside the city but within walking distance of the center. Ideal for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Rosa, Elvis and Kira are very nice and friendly, I felt at home here. The possibility of using a fully equipped kitchen. I ended up extending my stay for two more nights.
