“Best place to have a relaxing time in amazing environment near Puerto Escondido”

During our 2 weeks trip in Mexico this was our first accommodation for 4 nights and it was perfect!!! The rooms are air conditioned, clean, very spacious and comfortable. I really enjoyed having my coffee in the hammock, while watching the ocean. The pool is amazing, also has ocean view. You can ask for breakfast and they also order for you lunch and dinner if needed. Area is nice and safe to walk around. You can walk or take a taxi to a busier beach Playa Zicatela. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay.

Great relaxed place if you don’t mind driving a bit to the popular areas for coffee and dinner etc Balcony with ocean view, 5 minutes walking to a great deserted beach with amazing waves if you dare.

“A gem in La Barra”

It’s beautiful. Every single detail is thought of. You’re in nature with a beautiful beach just a 5 min walk away. You can borrow towels to take with you to the beach. It’s possible to get breakfast at the hotel and also drinks. The pool is beautiful and the area around it is so nice. It’s possible to get your laundry done.

We came for two nights but immediately booked a third. It is a very fun place. Tiny but great rooms, great terraces, great showers, great pool, fantastic sunsets. I highly recommend but do not bring much luggage there is no room and you do not need it.

This was a very welcoming place where you practically have your private chef .... and the food is great. A little Spanish helps but there is friendliness and goodwill all around, and the owner, Virginie, is on hand for any questions or reservations. Room space is a little tight, but beds are comfortable and the air conditioning works very well. The nearest beach.... which seems to go by the name of David Hasselhoff beach..... is heaven-like, enormous, and wonderful for bird watching.... especially for pelicans. And at low tide you can go around the rocks and you reach La Punta beach ..... otherwise, you can clamber over the rocks.. Marvellous!

The staff and the food were absolutely amazing! Everyone was extremely helpful, they arranged a rental motorbike for me, which was brought and picked up at the hotel. The sea view from the room was nice and the pool was great. All in all, a super chill and quite place. I wish I could have stayed longer...

“It's so good, I rebooked!”

I absolutely loved my stay here; I loved it so much I have booked another night! The shipping container construction is really interesting and the decor is so lovely! The finishing touches make it so cosy, and they even have a kettle (as a British person who loves tea, this was very exciting haha)! The pool area is beautiful and the hosts are amazing! Oh and the breakfast was sooo delicious! I can't wait to return!

“Nice design hotel”

Nice design hotel, large pool and excellent food. However the bedroom is a bit too small.

What a beautiful, relaxing oasis!! We enjoyed our stay at Cabane Container hotel so much... pure luxury, starting with the beautifully designed suite, then the wonderful pool with warm water, and incredibly delicious food... what a total treat!! Highly recommended for unwinding, enjoying life, and pure relaxation

This hotel has a small restaurant with delicious food and cocktails. My favorites were grilled octopus and ice cream made of Oaxacan chocolate.

Excellent! The best breakfast

Well designed, comfortable, really clean. The owner and the crew were extremely welcoming, terrific service. I went to disconnect and rest, and this place surpassed my expectations. For folks like me that are looking for a quiet and comfortable place, this is it.

I loved how unique this place is! It’s quiet and comfortable, with great views and an amazing pool. not many places in the area have AC, which is definitely needed, it gets super hot in Puerto. The staff were also very, very kind. And the food is great too. if you’re looking to relax and have some real down time, this is the place for you. The internet is temperamental, as it is most places in Puerto. although I think they’re getting starlink installed soon, so it won’t be a problem going forward. you need to get a taxi if you’re going into la punta, but virginie and her team are super helpful in arranging this. I loved my stay here. would highly recommend.

The pool, the sea view, the balcony with hammock, the fact that there are only 4 rooms, the birds, the fact that it felt like home, the staff and the host who catered to our every need and was very discreet.

This place is all you need when trying to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with a lot of effort but into all the small details. The pool area is beautifully done and the ocean view is incredible. It is also only a short maybe 300m walk from the actual beach. The restaurant and bar is great and there is always somebody there to help. The host was super helpful with all the arrangements and tours and was genuinely invested in our wellbeing. There are some weights you can use to work out. Breakfast is delicious! Cannot wait to return

“Awesome place to really rest”

It was undoubtdedly the best hotel experience we have ever had. The staff was so friendly and it felt like visiting your family. They shared info about things to do and we always felt that if we need anything we could ask. It was so calm and quiet around the hotel, you can spend your evenings listening to pacific ocean waves on your terrace. The beach is about 5 minutes walk away from the hotel, you cant swimm there but it is awesome for a walk since there are so little people around. The bed is really comfortable and the breakfast options are delicious.

“Quiet, calming and great sunset views!”

This property is well thought out and executed with each room having its own terrace space, table and hammock. I found this hotel attracted mellow travelers (like myself) so it felt very therapeutic to be here as most folks were reading, floating in the amazing pool, and not having loud conversations. Definitely worth it to be here for sunset! I would recommend having a car for this location as it is about 10 min dirt road off the highway. Bonus points for having secured parking behind the gate! I also left very early for a flight, and the staff put out a to-go breakfast for me. Hosts are thoughtful, responsive on WhatsApp, and go above and beyond!

“Chic little oasis with amazing hospitality”

A chic little oasis on the edge of Puerto Escondido run by an incredibly attentive, helpful and welcoming family - they assisted us with a lot during our stay, without a problem. The rooms are small but very clean and stylish, and the pool is gorgeous! Food is simple but good.

We had a great stay at CABANE Container Hotel. Our room had a view of the water and a hammock outside, and we liked the artwork on the feature wall and the pool. The food was also great - we had breakfast included but also had lunch there and were served a delicious octopus dish and fresh fish. The chef is great. There is also a sweet little chihuahua and a cat which is always good in my books.
