Overview
Just a few metres from the River Pas, Posada Rincon del Pas has a peaceful setting next to Puente Viesgo’s famous spa. This charming country house offers individually decorated rooms and a restaurant. Each attractive room at Posada Rincon del Pas has a balcony overlooking its gardens. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and orthopedic mattresses. Guests can enjoy a homemade breakfast in the Rincon del Pas’ restaurant, which offers Spanish cuisine for lunch and dinner. The surrounding Cantabrian countryside is ideal for hiking, and guests receive discounts on entry to Cabárceno Natural Park, the Fuente Dé Cable Car and the Maritime Museum. The hotel is on a Vía Verde cycling route.

“Perfectly lovely and restful Posada with a brilliant host.”
I was cycling, heading for Burgos and beyond. Cristina could not have been more welcoming, kind and helpful. Her Posada is a perfectly lovely and restful place to stay. Just two hours cycle from Santander, it was the ideal first-night stay before some very hard days.

This hotel is cosy and has character, is clean and comfortable. Owner Cristina is delightful, very friendly (her dog is very friendly, too!) and generous with advice about things to see and do and places to eat. We were made to feel very welcome and at home. We enjoyed breakfast, complete with fruit juice enlivened by lemons from the tree in the garden. The location is perfect, on the edge of the small town of Puente Viesgo but within an easy walk of everything. (Well, maybe not so easy if you're walking up to the El Castillo cave site!) For us the town is perfect for a restful pitstop on the way to the ferry terminal at Santander and as a destination in its own right and Posada del Rincon del Pas will always be our accommodation of choice.

This is a gem of a find and dog friendly too. We were welcomed warmly by the owner and loved our stay here. We will definitely be back. Cristina went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Well what a welcome from both sisters. They've only recently taken over the business, and what a assest they are. Despite the language barrier, we got by, the just couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely return, please carry on as you are 🤩❤️

A homely and cosy comfortable Bed and Breakfast kind of place. The posada is in a quiet location but still quite central to the lovely little town of Puente Viesgo. A great place to stay as a pit stop en route to the ferry port or as a base for exploring this beautiful part of Spain, including the nearby Castillo cave with its prehistoric rock paintings. Comfortable beds and the breakfast was more than adequate. Ownership changed during our two night stay so we met both the very friendly family who ran it when we arrived (and on our previous visit some years ago) and the new owner, Cristina, who is just as welcoming and intent on her guests enjoying their stay. Talking with her we gained the impression that, while no doubt she will make some changes, the welcoming ambience will be the same. We’ll definitely be back.
