We had a wonderful time as a family of three. Andrej met us even though we were late arriving and was so kind. We utilized the sauna, the tub, and our four year old found many games and outdoor activities. Truly a perfect rest weekend to kick off the New Year.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was just as we expected, and even though the weather wasn't great, it wasn't a problem because the house was cozy enough to spend time indoors without feeling cooped up. The hot tub on the terrace was amazing, the view was breathtaking, and the surroundings were so peaceful. There are a few restaurants nearby, just a short drive away, and the hosts have put together a handy brochure to help guests navigate the area. The hosts were super friendly and even brought us a delicious traditional cake one day.

Our little house was beautiful, equipped with all the things you might need, very modern, and extremely clean!! Everything was spotless, you can really tell that the hosts take care of every single detail in the house and around it. The hot tub was a perfect place to enjoy the wine that the hosts gifted us, to relax while enjoying the view of the snowy hill. We also opted for the breakfast, which was just perfect, homemade, prepared with care and versatile. On top of all, our hosts were very kind, friendly and warm. All in all, we strongly recommend staying in Hišice Čarna because you will certainly have a magical time there!

This weekend getaway was simply beautiful! The cabin was cute and bigger than anticipated. The wooden hot tub gives a special touch to the whole experience. I like how the area was fenced so I could release my dog to run around. The breakfast was amazing and the Andrej the host was so warm and welcoming!

Very nice location. House is cozy and well-equipped. The host is very friendly, provided free wine and flower bouquet as gift.

The location has really nice view over the broader area, and the facilities are nice and cozy. You can enjoy the views also from the outdoor hot-tub for two, with the option of lighting the provided candles and so on. Yet perhaps the most astonishing part of the stay is the super friendly host who also provides extensive flexibility with timings and provides countless useful information about the area for the whole duration of the stay. Host is also responsive and dedicated towards best service. From our perspective it is an opportunity not to miss if you have a chance to visit.

“Cozy house with beautiful surroundings and views in Goricko region”

Very nice and quiet location in country side. Delicious homemade breakfast with very good local and homemade food and ingredients. House is nicely equiped and furnished with everything you need for a comfort stay. It was also very clean and nicely prepared for our stay. House surroundings is very beatuiful, it has a big lawn and is fenced and dog friendly. Finnish sauna is also amazing, it heats very well.

“Not safe for dogs”

Be careful if you want to visit this place with a dog. After arrival we had our dog on a leash. The owner told us we could let our dog run freely, 'because the garden is a safe place'. It was not. There was snail poison in the vegetable garden and our labrador ate from it. The poison contained the extremely deadly “Metaldehyde“; as little as 1 teaspoon per 4.5kg body weight can be fatal for dogs. A long story short: the nearest veterinary hospital was 3 hours away and we had to hope for the best. At first the owner was helpful by getting us activated charcoal, but we quickly learned that he didn't take the incident seriously. Two days later, the poison was still laying around in the garden. Also, there was no follow up after the incident. We had to go to the vet clinic multiple times, since the poison could cause damage to our dog's organs. The doctors that checked our dog all had the same conclusion: the only reason that our dog survived is the fact that she is a 30kg labrador. If she would have been smaller, she would have died. We had over €350 in bills. In total, our 2 night stay at Hišice Čarna costed us €670. It was the worst and traumatic vacation we have ever had.

very nice environment with wonderful accommodation. the cabin is very nicely and cozy furnished and equipped. the owner is friendly and accommodating. we visited this place 2 times and we definitely plan to come back here again. I can recommend this place to all ten.

“Secret gem in the middle of Goričko hills”

Lovely wooden house in the middle of nature, very beautiful garden, delicious home made breakfast and amazing hosts.

From time to time, you find these gems where everything is simply outstanding and these little houses were just that! Location is great: quiet and remote, but within reach of a bigger city (10min by car). House itself is beautifully decorated and well equipped. The garden is amazing, especially with all the fruits, herbs and the vegetables that you are encouraged to take. The full garden around the houses is fenced, which we and especially our dog loved. And then on top of that, the two highlights: breakfast and the hosts Natasa and Andrej. Breakfast gets 12/10: delivery of it on your front porch, the variety, the quality and deliciousness! And then the friendly and kind hosts who actually make the whole place something that you want to return to over and over again. Just wonderful!

We had a fantastic time at Hišice Čarna. The accommodation was perfect and very well equipped with everything you would need for a holiday. Great kitchen facilities, lovely shower and comfortable bed. The location and setting was so peaceful, with lovely gardens, plants and fruit and veg growing. We had breakfast each morning - the best we have had for a long time. Fresh and great vegetarian options. A great base for trips around Prekmurje. Would highly recommend staying here. We will be back!
