Very nice rooms with friendly staff, good breakfast, a refrigerator and a hammock. Not far to the from the beach which is just 10min away walking. The receptionist even took me on a snorkeling trip shortly after my check-in which was nice! If you are on the island reach out to Nelson, a local tuktuk driver with low prices (+573164117653).

“Relaxing and enjoyable”

The place exceeded our expectations, it was very comfortable, clean and the staff were friendly. Mario went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant, including helping us find a moped when the ones at his hotel had all been reserved for the day. I would definitely recommend anyone stay here, great location and a wonderful family running it :) We will be returning as soon as we can!

The cabanas are closed to the most beautiful beach on the island (5 min walk) and they also offer boat tours. The boat tours are leaving from this beach so it’s very convenient. The room is basic, but clean. I loved the balcony and the hammock, it’s a small paradise. It’s the perfect place to relax. The breakfast was tasty, the fruit juices were delicious! Mario was very helpful and friendly.

The owner, Mario, was very attentive, courteous, and helpful. We had the best snorkeling tour in Colombia with him. The best beach from providencia was only 5 minutes away. It was a lovely stay there.

My stay on Providencia Island was outstanding, and a big part of that was my time at South West Bay Cabanas. The hotel is larger than most accommodations on the island, yet the rooms offer plenty of privacy and peace. The rooms are simple but have everything you need, and most importantly, they are spotlessly clean. Housekeeping cleans the rooms daily. They are air-conditioned and also equipped with an additional fan. The hammock on the balcony was my personal highlight, perfect for slow mornings and peaceful evenings. The location is ideal: very close to the island’s main and beautiful beach, where several restaurants are open every day. Right next to the hotel there is also a small supermarket where you can buy basic necessities. Originally, I planned to stay at South West Bay Cabanas for one week, but I extended my stay for another week because I felt so comfortable there. Additionally, you can rent a scooter directly at the property, which gives you great freedom to explore the island. And breakfast is very good too! Mario and his team did their absolute best to make sure everything worked perfectly. I am certain that I will return to this wonderful island, and when I do, I will definitely stay at South West Bay Cabanas again.

Amazing stay, would definitely recommend. The only thing I would mention is that having mosquito nets on the balcony doors would make it absolutely perfect.

“Overall a nice stay”

Overall it was a good stay and I enjoyed it. The location is close to the beach (approx 10 min walk) and to a mini market (few min walk). The room was hot and without a balcony but it had a fan and it was a more affordable because of that. Mario from the reception was helpful in providing information about what to do around. My room was on the second floor and at the back so it was quite to sleep at night.

“Great stay at Providencia”

This is a great option of stay in Providencia. The cabañas are a 5-minute walk away from one of the best beaches in the island, a very calm place, with a beautiful sea and a few but good restaurants. Boat tours leave from the nearest beach to the keys and the peak you can climb in the island is really close. There is a bakery, a market, a breakfast and a hamburguer place right by the inn. Mario and his son were very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed. They also rent scooters, which can be helpful to go around the island. The room was very cozy, with very comfortable beds, an open closet, air conditioning and a ventilator, a nice balcony with a hammock and a nice bathroom. Simple, yet perfect for what we were looking for. Breakfast was included and it was nice. Rooms were cleaned every day. We really enjoyed our stay here, wish we could stay longer. We highly recommend this stay and would come back again.

Fantastic location, close to everything you need and the best beach on the island with the most beautiful sunsets and top cocktails at Joel’s. I’ve booked the upgraded single room with the balcony and the room itself was a nice size with a modern air con system. The staff was the best I’ve had in 3 weeks in Colombia, lovely breakfast and special thanks to Solaina (hope the spelling is correct :) ) for making me feel so comfortable and welcome. Hopefully will be back for at least a week next time!

“Fabulous 5 days in South West Bay Cabañas”

The South West Bay Cabañas is a very agreeable place to stay. The owner and the staff are very helpful and sympathetic. It is great located, 7 min walk to the beach, 2 min from a little shop, it’s quiet and we enjoyed our staying there fully, thank you all! Super, that you can rent Scooters there :-)

What a wonderful place, so near to the best beach on the island with some nice bars and restaurants near by. Mario was so helpful and always seemed to be there when you needed him.The staff are friendly, the room is cleaned every day and the breakfast very nice. I particularly loved the big balcony with the hammock. The rooms are spacious and there is a fridge. Nice view too. We hired a scooter which made the island so accessible.

“The best place to stay in South West Bay”

The hotel is well situated in South West Bay and a short walk from the beach, restaurants and store. The included breakfast was very yummy. The owner was very lovely and helped us arrange a moto rental, tour of the island and our early-morning taxi ride to the airport. The room matched the photos and the hammock on the balcony was a lovely place to relax. I don't think you could find better at this price point on Providencia.
