“Wonderful stay with a fabulous host.”

Fabulous breakfast with lots of variety that was served downstairs in shared guest area. Beautiful home our room was compact yet spacious and well decorated. We had a balcony which was lovely Welcoming host who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Gave us plenty of tips on where to hike and what to do. The village is beautiful and lots of hikes just from our front door. If you don’t have a car there is the option of public transport to Feltre or use a responsive taxi

Our stay at Casa Zefìra was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. From the moment we arrived, we felt less like guests and more like old friends. That’s entirely thanks to Gianni – a truly remarkable host whose warmth and hospitality come straight from the heart. The apartment is beautifully designed – simple yet full of charm and thoughtful touches. Mornings on the terrace were pure magic, with only birdsong and the distant sound of cowbells in the valley. There’s a deep sense of harmony here, a quiet connection to nature. Every day, Gianni surprised us with small gestures – breakfasts made with high-quality local products, a delicious selection of cheeses and cured meats, or a story about the region’s history. One morning, he even treated us to a homemade cake made from his mother’s traditional recipe – warm, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. That moment captured exactly what makes this place so special: care, tradition, and genuine generosity. He also gave us wonderful tips for hikes off the beaten path, leading us to breathtaking places we’d never have discovered on our own. Great location for exploring the area — day trips to Verona or Venice are within reach. A short drive brings you to San Martino di Castrozza, where you can take the Colverde gondola and Rosetta cable car up to the Cima della Rosetta, reaching an elevation of about 2,743 m for stunning panoramic views over the Dolomites . Nearby, the Covoli di Lamen trail leads to prehistoric rock shelters and lovely scenic viewpoints, perfect for nature lovers. The region is full of hidden gems and diverse experiences — from ancient caves to high-altitude hikes and nearby city culture. Casa Zefìra isn’t just a holiday rental – it’s a place shaped by passion, care, and love for authenticity. When we left, it didn’t feel like we were saying goodbye to a host, but to a friend.

“Memorable”

I want to start by saying if you’re thinking of booking this guesthouse DO IT. It was the highlight of our travels this far, the host Gianni is the most incredible person!. The hospitality he provided and the help he gave with planning our days for us honestly can not be matched to anywhere I have stayed before. It felt like a home away from home. Learning about the culture of the mountains and the local produce, wine and cooking together listening to Italian music with the host Gianni will be memories that we will keep with us forever. I highly recommend staying here!! and also hiring a car for your travels through the Dolomites as it was the best way to get around. The house was lovely and comfortable. Located in a small and quiet village, it's quite easy to go for a beautiful walk or hike up the Dolomiti. Gianni was the best host I've ever met! He suggested many great places for us to go and provide good breakfasts during our stay.

The host Gianni was the best, as all the other guests commented. He made us comfortable whatever we needed, even somehow personal, instant. The breakfast was very nice with fresh regional foods. The village was a relaxing, real Italian rural area. The recommended restaurant was awesome! Even though we could not speak Italian, we had dinner twice. The people in the village were lovely. It was a pity that we stayed only 5 days...

Ciao Gianni, our vacation, especially the holiday apartment Casa Zefira, in the Dolomites was an experience we will never forget, and we can highly recommend it! The cleanliness was exemplary, and we felt at home right from the beginning. The kitchen had everything it needed. We enjoyed cooking in the cozy kitchen in the evenings and then dining on the balcony, which offered a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Gianni, our landlord, was extremely helpful and gave us valuable tips for excursions in the area. He knew the region well and gladly shared his local knowledge with us, enabling us to discover some hidden gems not found in any travel guide. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the trip to the nearby Dolomites. Our landlord provided us with detailed information about hiking routes and sights that we should definitely visit. It was an unforgettable experience to witness the breathtaking beauty of the mountains. Overall, we can wholeheartedly recommend Casa Zefira. The combination of a beautiful apartment, a warm and hospitable landlord, and the charming surroundings of Feltre made our vacation truly special.
