“Budget friendly stay with everything you need”

The staff went above and beyond to help us - from carrying our bags, to giving us great tips around, and also arranging transport. The location is very quiet and excellent if you want to enjoy both Araçatiba and Araçatibinha, but not too far from Cachoeira or Lagoa Verde.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They also helped us organising a boat trip & transported the luggage to the beach. The breakfast was classic and good.

A really homely sanctuary, very peaceful. We were warmly welcomed on the pier and were given information about walks and tours. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which had a great selection.

Had a wonderful time at pousada tropical in Araçatiba! Close to the beach, nice rooms, and a very nice buffet. The coconut cake was to die for, absolutely delicious! The staff was wonderful! They really made my stay all the more magical. As i was there alone they were always there for a chat and even took me with them to dinner in the evening! I met them as staff, and am happy to call them friends by the end of my stay! Thank you very much to this wonderful team!

“Paradise”

After a few hectic days in busy Rio, we were looking for a peaceful escape on Ilha Grande—somewhere away from the crowds. Araçatiba turned out to be the perfect spot. This charming little village with its beautiful beach made us feel like we had the place almost to ourselves. Pousada Tropical was a great choice. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning and a nice bed—everything we needed for a relaxing stay. But what really made the difference was the wonderful staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great tips and always willing to assist. One of the highlights was their thoughtfulness. On our last day, we had to catch an early boat, and they made sure we had breakfast prepared in advance so we could take something with us. That kind of care and hospitality made our stay even more special. If you’re looking for a quiet, authentic experience on Ilha Grande, away from the tourist crowds, Pousada Tropical Araçatiba is an excellent choice. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return!

We loved our stay here! So very beautiful and George was amazing! from meeting us on the beach, carrying our bags recommending things to do... fabulous cocktails and food. We absolutely loved it ❤️

We had an amazing experience at this beautifully maintained property. The grounds are immaculate, and the staff is incredibly dedicated and helpful. They went out of their way to assist us in organizing transport to the island and even picked us up at the dock. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with water, coffee, and cake – a lovely touch! Complimentary snorkel gear was available, and we appreciated the access to filtered water. The property is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach, and the daily room cleaning was impeccable. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. The staff was exceptionally attentive, and they even prepared a special table for my girlfriend's birthday – a gesture we will never forget. This place exceeded all our expectations, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it. A perfect choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and hospitable getaway!

Absolutely everything, the entire experience there was amazing. The breakfast was very good, the staff were all very attentive and helpful. I would definitely go back there its in such a secluded space that when we were at the beach there was hardly anyone there. Can get to lagao Verde easily too

“Friendly staff and best breakfast buffet in Araçatiba”

The breakfast is well worth the extra price, you can eat as much as you want and the cakes are delicious. Jorge was very helpful and friendly (there was another couple there as well) in the evening he kept us company with good conversation and shared his wine with us. The other staff, which clean and prepare the food are also very friendly, one of them helped along with Jorge to arrange the transfer back to Abraao. The common area is very spacious, well looked after and has plenty of seating and a pool.

“Great hospitality”

Andrade and his team have got hospitality down to a fine art. The care and willingness to go above and beyond is extraordinary. Both Andrade and Leonardo met me off the boat and carried my suitcase to the hotel, doing the same as I left. As an older women travelling alone and not speaking Portuguese, this was so welcoming and caring. The hotel is simple, very clean with a wonderful breakfast especially the fruit juices, fresh fruit and cakes. I also ate my dinners there: simple and deliciously cooked fish. Andrade was full of good advice, and with the help of google translate and photos, I set off to the Green lagoon (a must) and three other beaches. My boat was leaving mid afternoon and I was kindly given a late checkout so I could have full use of the room until I left. I was even given another towel. I cannot speak highly enough of the team. Thank you!

The place was spotless and the staff was super helpful and kind. Andrade cooks beautifully - highly recommend having dinner there. We loved the breakfast, especially the cakes, and again, the staff's hospitality really made our stay special. The location is superb if you want to stay on this side of the island - we could reach a few good spots by foot. It was a short stay, but we really loved it.

Pousada Tropical Araçatiba is a wonderful hotel only 2 mins away from the beach. What was most exceptional about our stay was the welcoming and hospitable staff. Our time on the island was so special, made more so by the warmth and generosity of Andrade and his team. They put so much into making their guests’ stay as comfortable and memorable as possible, and nothing was too much to ask. Andrade is an exceptional host, and very helpful in arranging the trips we wanted to do, as well as recommendations for restaurants and helping with transfers to our next destination and back to the airport. They offer a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, and the cocktails are delicious - perfect to wind down with after a day of exploring! We absolutely recommend staying at Pousada Tropical Araçatiba, and hope one day to return and see Andrade and his team again.
