If you want to laze around the pool all day I suppose this hotel would be a good choice, orherwise I would recommend you book closer to town! Yes, you can get a tuk tuk (as the walk is tricky, being along a busy highway) but I was wishing I was closer to town so that was unnecessary. This is particularly important to know as the food options around are very limited. The staff were not welcoming at all, although I must admit I did arrive earlier than the 2pm check-in. I was 'greeted' with 2pm scribbled on a piece of paper and then ignored. It makes you appreciate those hotels where staff genuinely smile and often bring you a refreshing 'welcome drink'! I accept the 'language barrier' doesn't make things easy, but a smile is understood everywhere! The room itself was clean and had a small balcony with a garden view. No kettle or tea making facilities, however. The shower was a nightmare with no shower screen, which meant water splashed everywhere! Noise could be heard above, and in the corridor until very late. Other people have praised this hotel so maybe my expectations are unreasonable. However, I have stayed at many hotels where I have had a much more satisfying stay!

The Rest is really well placed just off the main North South road from Bangkok to all points. Great rooms with attentive staff. Really enjoyed it, again as this was our second time. They have added a pool and more rooms since our last trip

Great room, excellent koi pond, friendly staff, nice breakfast room, spacious car park, easy to get to beach front by car. The aircon was very good and refreshing after the heat outside.

The location is convenient as it's near the football stadium. The price is very reasonable. The rooms are clean. The bed is decent. The pillows are very good.

The bed is very comfortable, the staff was very helpful, although breakfast is simple it was great. Parking was nicely allocated. Everything was amazing.

Very pleasant welcome at reception by a lovely lady called 'Jaa'. Breakfast was lovely. Coffee & toast to start the day off nicely. Very easy to find & just off the main drag to/from Bangkok.
