The hotel is very charming, with beautiful decorations and a lovely atmosphere. The staff was kind and welcoming, the breakfast was very nice, and the view was excellent. We also appreciated the secure bike storage, which was very convenient for us.

No air conditioning although a fan was provided on request

The hotel & restaurants are very nicely located a few steps away from the Loire river along which we had a nice stroll towards the center of the village (La Tour Pouilly) and we also took a bath in the river as it was such a hot day. They have nice, clean rooms and the breakfast is very good.

Easy to find location with a garden overlooking the Loire and having direct access onto riverside walks. The main reason for choosing Le Coq Hardi is the food in the restaurant. Monsieur Fonseca is a great chef producing excellent dishes. His sole waiter in the restaurant is a little brusque to say the least and at times makesBasil Fawlty look like a paragon of welcoming hospitality! It’s a pity really as is does diminish the overall dining experience.

I have been visiting Pouilly sur Loire for the last 30 years plus and this hotel whilst on the outskirts is in an ideal location and superficially very modern and attractive. However the rooms reminded me of some of the rooms I used to stay in in the 80's in Pouilly. They were dated and old fashioned. The hotel trades largely on its location and views across to the Loire from the large room terraces and the outdoor terrace used by the Restaurant.
