“very relaxing and beautiful room”

The hotel is stunning,. the room was massive and so beautiful We only stayed one night and it was lovely to just relax there. The lady who owns it is lovely. We walked to the beach and it's only 5 minutes away. It very quiet and quite remote so if you didn't have a car/bikes it might be difficult getting around. The food was great

Everything. It’s absolutely stunning. Open bathrooms, beautiful rooms, farm to table food and above alll… the hospitality of the Owners. I felt like home.

We made a mistake the first night and booked a room without AC, but the owner was so good about finding us a new room, which we enjoyed so much we decided to stay 2 extra nights. Breakfast was the best we had on our trip. We’d definitely stay again. Location for us was great, as it was away from the business of Arugam Bay. We had a TukTuk so found it very easy to get about.

We enjoyed our stay at Monsoon Eco Resort so much! The garden is beyond amazing, and waking up to the sound of birds was magical. Breakfast was delicious too!

Monsoon Eco Resort is a lovely place, when you're looking for a beautiful quite stay outside of the classical tourist locations. Vishy is a very friendly and courteous host, who put much effort in the little details and will help you with the organisation of everything you need. The kitchen is absolutely amazing, best food we had in Sri Lanka. Such a heartwarming space, we will miss Vishy and her helping Hands very much

“Wished we stayed much much longer!”

This place is completely amazing. The location, the stunning garden, the beautiful and super comfy huts, the relaxed/zen design and ambiance of the whole hotel ground, the super delicious fresh food and drinks, the extra attentive and adorable staff, the services and assistance provided with transportation, sight seeing, etc... and bonus points to the top professional, top responsive, top friendly owners.

The green ambience, it is a little oasis, off the touristic mainstream. Fantastic staff and food.

“Exeptionally friendly and relaxing, 12/10”

A truley magical place to slow down and relax. Listening to birds while looking at the rice fields, watching butterflies flying around when sipping on your cappucino. Everyone is open-hearted and very friendly, helping you out with every request. The owners are exeptionally kind, talented and very inspirational. This place has everything you need for calming yourself down. Food and the coffee is very tasty. There is even a little art gallery. The surf spot Pottuvil is in walking distance and so is the place to rent boards.

Really nice accomodation in a beautiful garden setting.The staff is friendly and the food is good.The beach nearby is also nice and with no crowds.We are really happy that we stayed here and not directly at arugam bay.Highly recommended!

The garden and entire property was so beautiful and gave a very zen feeling. The trees provided some shade during the hot days and Vishy was so lovely to chat to and gave some helpful advice on the area. Great a quiet location for a nice break for the party in Arugam Bay and was a 10 min walk / 1 min tuk tuk to the surf.

“Beautiful and calm”

Beautiful natural setting that they've worked hard to create with natural materials and plants. It gets raked/swept/watered everyday to keep it looking great. They allowed an early check-in for us.. Lots of design touches in every area, including a spiral wooden staircase down to our bathroom with sink carved from a solid piece of stone. Lots of nature such as butterfly's, birds, geckos around ... And some even get in your room for a real close up (praying mantis, gecko, insects) 10.min walk to the surfing beach ... And as with all beaches along this coast, strong currents so not good for swimming or small kids. For note: No mosquito net on single bed in the room (this seems normal in Sri Lanka but not sure why) Booking.com taxes for this accomm were significantly higher than every other accomm and I don't know why (eg 40usd on 160usd costs).

The location is 10 min walking from the beach and 20 min from pottovil surfing. Location is quiet, yet close enough to the beach and surfing point. The garden of the property is beautiful with a nice seating area for breakfast and dinner.

Beautiful place for stay with the family outside the craziness of Arugambay. The food was of a very high standard and facilities perfect.

We loved the friendly welcome and amazing home cooked food in the evenings, the space was so lovely and relaxing! We also loved the outdoor shower with accompanying geckos and little baby frogs. Great recommendations given as well. Thanks Vishy!
