This place is a perfect stay when you have kids. My daughter did her very first poney ride. She enjoyed playing with the cats and watching the animals. The room was super clean and very confortabke with a nice view from the balcony. The location is good to explore the caves, the castle, Pira and other spots. Breakfast was delicious. We also had diner even though we found prices were a bit high especially for kids. But it was really convenient and you still have options to eat outside as there was a few options minutes away.

“Disguised Devil”

The host and restaurant were fantastic, I had the lamb which was exceptional. The photos with family history in the reception area were very interesting. I found out the meaning of 'Hudičevec'... 'disguised devil'.

The parking lot is spacious, and right in front of the restaurant and facilities lies a beautiful landscape brimming with nature. The staff (the young owner?) are also kind and friendly. Dinner was also very delicious.

Hudičevec was an excellent option for us for one night to visit Predjama Castle and Postonja Caves the next day. It is a family business and we were greeted by Jernej. Being a family business you can feel and see the love and care. Jernej spoke excellent English and despite checking us in, serving us drinks, dinner and breakfast he remained friendly and courteous. Dinner was an excellent fare of homemade produce, same with breakfast - most generous and varied. The rooms were spacious and equipped with customade quality country style wooden furniture. There was a kettle to make coffee/tea (which was provided) plus a small packet of homemade biscuits. The rooms were spotless, towels plenty and the water pressure in the shower excellent. The property is sitting in beautiful scenic surroundings. I was travelling with my brother but there were quite a few families with little children who enjoyded the playground and trampolin. I would return any time.
