A unique apartment, rarely found. The hosts were so nice and we had a warm welcome with the story of the apartment. Loads of good places to eat within a 5 minutter walk from the apartment.

“Comfortable stay in a characteristic flat”

Palazzo Melluso is a an old-fashioned flat with large rooms and comfortable beds. It was fun to stay in an alternative lodging with so much characture, including inlaid floors and a frescoed ceiling. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a thorough orientation.

The apartment is absolutely stunning! And the hosts are amazing. They are friendly, kind and caring. The bedroom and the bathroom are exceptionally clean. Everything was so clean that it was the first ever property where I was comfortable enough to walk bare footed. The bed is really comfortable and I think the pillows might be memory foam. The bedroom and the bathroom are separate, the bathroom being a short walk through the reception area but it was not a problem because the hosts provided us with bathrobes and the reception was very quiet. The jacuzzi bath is incredible and very relaxing after a day trekking around the Valle dei Templi. Agrigento is easy enough to access by using a near by ‘Temple Tour Bus’, which is only €15 pp and takes you all over from Porto Empedocle to Valle dei Templi, and also drives past Scala dei Turchi. In the apartment, I thought that every detail was thought out, and in particular I really like how the B&B smelled, the blueberry home fragrance made it feel very calming. The little balcony outside felt very cosy. It is quite noisy outside in the evening and in the morning. So I would recommend to bring some good ear plugs. But it’s not hosts fault because it’s not like they can do anything about it. I think it’s just the way things are on the island. Everywhere in southern Italy is noisy. I would not let this to stop booking this B&B because I think it’s the best one in Porto Empedocle!

“Gem just outside of Agrigento”

We rented two rooms at the B&B Palazzo Melluso and both were fantastic. While we only stayed one night, the hosts were very accommodating and shared lots of insight about the area. No complaints, my only concern was that this place was very nice - the furniture, the recent renovations, even the plaster and millwork were beautiful making me on edge with my 4 year old running around the place. That stated, the hosts were happy to have us stay with them. Great place and great hosts.

This B&b is full of charme. It's in an impeccably restored 18th C building. Original features and right in the centre of the town with lots of nice restaurants and cafes. Highly recommended.

It is really a palazzo. we have never slept in such a special historic and romantic room. It is like a museum but it feels fresh and young

I need a shower in the morning. it was on the 4th floor. I don’t remember being informed of this. the local restaurants were poor, poor service mostly but inattentive and lacking in choice. it was a Saturday night. my room was over the pedestrian street and kids were setting off fire cravers until 11.30pm

“true Italian beautiful classic home”

The house was absolutely stunning. I felt like I was in my own home the facilities were amazing and they were on the High Street it was very quiet.

Perfect location, wonderful hosts, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, beautiful historic building. We will definitely be back!
