Jane was a wonderful host. She welcomed us very nicely giving us lots of tips of things to do around. The accommodation is a beautiful 19th century house with lots of history. It is perfectly tidy and clean and Jane has plenty of details for the guests to be comfortable. One of the best bnbs we’ve ever been, and we’ve been travelling quite a few years already. We love the location of this property. But also love that it feels like home. It is so comfortable. Clean. Neat. It has all the comforts one has at home. The bedding is of the highest quality. Every detail is thought of to make your stay one of comfort and ease. The food. The bathroom. The bedrooms. The kitchen. Nothing is out of place. Clean. Neat. Tidy. The softest big towels. Face cloths. Even make up remover wipes at the basin. Two prong plugs for chargers. Little radio in the bedroom. Tea/coffee station in the bedroom.

A wonderful stay, we were so well looked after and the host was fantastic and allowed us to stay around the pool whilst we waited for a flight.

Jane was an amazing host! The location is perfect—surrounded by restaurants and very close to the airport. The breakfast was also fantastic; it’s a self-service system with a fully stocked kitchen featuring fresh fruit and ingredients for a hot meal. The rooms are beautiful and spacious! Perfect romantic stay not far from the airport. The host Jane goes above and beyond to make your stay as perfect as possible. Clean swimming pool, comfortable beds and bathroom… 12/10 would highly recommend!

buffet breakfast, very extensive. fabulous garden, mobbed by birds. next doors cat discouraged, most kindly! host was gracious and obliging, way to the airport, Ziggy's R&R bar? no problem. the house very nicely designed on a safe street full of restaurants. Never felt so welcome.

“Perfect stay”

Location was very close to airport. Jane was an excellent host who welcomed us to her home and spent time explaining things. She made us very welcome and we were able to stay at the house, and were welcome to use the pool, until we needed to leave for our afternoon flight. If I am back in Port Elizabeth I will definitely be paying Jane a return visit. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

“Beautiful historic homestead with period features.”

The homestead was absolutely stunning - a perfect example of an older property with stunning period features. The breakfast was generous and was self-service and relaxed. Highly recommended as a stop off for those travelling the garden route towards Addo game park, as we were. It provided a fantastic oasis en route. The owners were absolutely lovely and offered local advice.

Ideally located for a one-night stay in Port Elizabeth with excellent dining - Hussars Grill - over he road (+ alternatives). Very nice older style building with attractive grounds and great host.

Brilliant service, rooms great and large and great for ladies, with mirrors and plugs in great position for doing hair & make-up (often overlooked by others). Everything available for making own breakfast. Jane was a fantastic host who pays particular attention to detail. Warm & friendly and went over & above to make our stay perfect. We stayed 3 nights as we were visiting Addo elephant park which was an easy 40 minute drive to Colchester gate. Thank you.
