The apartment was very nice and comfortable and the location was wonderful. The view from the balcony of the ocean made it even better. Truly a home away from home. Sangela and Jason were wonderful hosts and really made us feel welcome.

Alex Place at Tim Pappies in Port Antonio, Jamaica, was an absolute gem! This charming spot was impeccably clean and well-kept, and the owner was lovely, accommodating, and down-to-earth. The highlight was definitely the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, offering a truly remarkable view and incredible ambiance. Sangela and family were nice and friendly apartments, looked just like the photos, if not better. House cleaning was done 4 times during my stay. Sangela was very responsive upon requests. And we had the joy of enjoying some of her produce from her farm and, due to our late arrival, provided us with some ingredients to make a sandwich. Which was very much appreciated. I will definitely be staying here again. Oh let's not forget the view from the balcony.....Awesome

A Wonderful Stay at Tim Pappies- Alex’s Place Our stay at Tim Pappies was amazing! It was everything we could have hoped for—a perfect combination of comfort and warm hospitality set against the breath-taking backdrop of Portland's lush natural beauty. We found the property using google map directions, helpfully provided by the host. The short road up to the accommodation was a bit rough, however it was just a few minutes from the main road. Surrounded by lush greenery, the serene setting was so picturesque. The amazing ocean view from our veranda, paired with Portland’s vibrant tropical landscape, were the perfect start to every morning. Our room was stunning (exactly like the pictures), with a large and super comfortable bed and lovely décor. A true retreat. The spacious, well-equipped kitchen made meal preparation very easy. The hosts were exceptional—friendly, pleasant, and incredibly helpful. They shared excellent tips on places to visit, including the chilled-out Winifred Beach, the magical Blue Lagoon, the best rafting spots, and where to find the best local food and restaurants. The complimentary weekend breakfast featuring fresh ackee and plantains from their property was delicious and a lovely touch. They also went above and beyond, providing fresh ingredients from their garden for us to cook, including spinach and okra, as well as giving us thoughtful extras like insect repellent. We also loved their adorable dog, Ghost, he quickly became our friend! Portland’s beauty was on full display throughout our stay. We were just a short drive from Port Antonio for shopping and restaurants, as well as stunning beaches like Frenchman’s Cove and Winifred Beach (definitely recommend Winifred for a real local vibe.), and the enchanting Somerset Falls. These locations were reasonably priced, not overcrowded with tourists, and definitely worth visiting. Love the fact that this is a family owned establishment, that has been in their the family for generations.

I paid for my Uncle/Auntie. Who travelled from Clarendon ja. They spent the night. They loved it so very much .Exceptional!!! And it looks better than the photos. So clean, fully equipped. Just beautiful. Don t let the reviews about the road put you off it lasts for seconds, then you're there.

“A Home Away from Home: A Gorgeous Stay in Portland”

Thank you to the owners/hosts for a wonderful stay and lasting memories. The apartment was located on the 2nd floor and was simply gorgeous. Beautifully decorated with a nice bathroom with hot water, it had a balcony offering wonderful partial sea and lush garden views with a variety of fruit trees, including mango. The owners paid great attention to detail, ensuring everything needed was available. The photos don't do it justice—it definitely felt like a home away from home! Sangela and Nelly, the amazing hosts and owners, were very accommodating and always available if needed. They offered a concierge service for private/charter taxis and excursions, which we used to get around easily. Their commitment to guest safety was greatly appreciated. On Wednesday nights, they offer a cooking class featuring Breadfruit and Ackee Saltfish, Jamaica’s national dish. It was very tasty, and I highly recommend it! The apartment is about a 9-minute drive from Somerset Falls, with Rio Grande Bamboo Rafting within about a 15-20 minute drive. The town centre, restaurants, supermarkets, and other rivers are also nearby. Other tourist attractions like Frenchman’s Cove, Blue Lagoon, Boston Jerk, and Boston Bay are about 25-30 minutes away. This has definitely become one of my favourite Airbnbs, and I would stay here again whenever I'm in Portland!

“Absolutely beautiful place to relax and feel refreshed”

This place is definitely a hidden gem, so comfortable and nice, absolutely spotless. All the comforts of home. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and hospitable, and were so very helpful and accommodating. They stayed up very late waiting for my arrival, and they were so gracious & kind in every way. I was certainly treated like family, they were just fantastic.

The place was super with all amenities. We really liked friendly hosts. Definitely would go back there!

Wonderful and accommodating hosts! The apartment exceeded my expectations. Excellent location in Portland with easy access off the main road. The villa is done to perfection with great attention to detail and more! Very safe and secure site. Excellent value!!! My favorite stay for 2024! Very close to rafting on the RIO Grande and a short distance to Somerset Falls and Likkle Portie. Cookshop is close by.... This is definitely my first choice for a Portland Stay! ♡♡♡
