“Wonderful place to stay in Port Alberni!”

The breakfasts were very very good. The cookies and beverages were a nice treat. Yvonne and Bob are very gracious hosts and treated us very well.

Everything. It was spacious comfortable and well appointed. Yvonne and Bob were the perfect hosts. Great conversations with them over breakfast and Bob gave great tips for places to visit. Talking of Breakfast they were fabulous and very tasty. A breakfast was also provided for when we had a very early start for the boat trip we were taking on one of our days. Home made cake was also provided when we returned from our days out.

At Berkie's you have the downstairs apartment all to yourself. It has a lot of room and is very cozy. Yvonne's breakfast was amazing and Bob had some great tips for the area.

Everything! The whole basement was ours, the breakfast was legendary, and the energy these people put into their guest is just amazing.

Highly recommended. This property boasts an entire apartment for the guests. It is private and relaxing. Yvonne and Bob are the perfect hosts - charming, witty and welcoming. Yvonne should have Michelins star, as she cooks the best breakfast on Vancouver Island. Incredible attention to detail with regards to all aspects of your stay. We were made to feel very welcome and even joined our hosts and their friends for dinner at a local restaurant one night. There’s plenty to do in the local area and lots of choice for good restaurants. We were stopping off in Port Alberni as part of a road trip from Victoria to Tofino. It was the perfect break en-route. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts.

The accomadation with all its little details, the freshly baked goods as well as a great breakfast and last but not least the very welcoming hosts made it feel like home away from home. Thank you so much Yvonne and Bob.

We had the whole cellar for us. It was decorated with so much love and so many lovely details. The breakfast was absolutely incredible and changed everyday. We felt so welcome. Everything was clean and tidy. All in all it was super comfy. Should we be in the area again, we will definitely book our stay again at berkies. The jam as a giveaway was such a nice and perfect gift.

Beautiful suite! It has everything you need and more! The host are welcoming and friendly! Always giving us tricks and tips to visit and see around the island and the town.

Everything, Yvonne and Bob are wonderful host. Kind and always available to make your stay enjoyable. We were surprised of the space for us. It's so big, it feels like to be in your own appartment.
