“Friendly, clean and comfortable”

Very characterful, clean and comfortable. Agnes was absolutely charming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and there was a lot of choice with bread, viennoiserie and jams all homemade.

The garden is beautiful, the beds are very comfortable, and having two double beds in one room is ideal for families. Breakfast is delicious and served in a lovely countryside-style room

“Overnight stop”

We have stayed before, and we will do so again. The welcome and friendly staff are a joy. The restaurant never disappoints. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the bathroom facilities make for a lovely stay. We would thoroughly recommend a stop here.

Convenient for the Loire and Cher and very centrally located. Small hotel with very welcoming and friendly staff. Good restaurant food and an excellent breakfast buffet.

“Fantastic food and staff but room a little disappointing”

Good position and very helpful staff. Lovely shaded terrace for drinks etc or just to sit. We didn’t have breakfast but the food for dinner was amazing, well presented and delicious and definitely worth returning for - couldn’t fault it. Although we had issues with parking we really enjoyed our stay here.

“unexciting”

It was pretty empty because out of season and the menu was very limited. We arrived before 5pm to find it locked up with no lights on and with all the fallen autumn leaves thought that it was probably closed down. However it did open at 5pm

There was a lot to like. Comfortable room, dinner under the trees with great menu and very sufficient breakfast inside. Proprietor and staff very welcoming. Our first visit in 45 years, and very glad that we came back!

Location in a quiet village with some nice history and between different castles. Staff were excellent and attentive to us and all the guests. Good English spoken. Rooms upgraded and clean. The patio and breakfast area are nice. The evening dinner was very high standard, above what you might expect. Good parking in front of the hotel.
