This place was the ideal place to kick back and relax, the 5 acres of land were absolutely stunning and you can tell a lot of work goes in to keeping it like that. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. We had everything we needed in Thulanathi and it had a nice cosy feel to it. It must be said the warm welcome from Stephan and his 10/10 hospitality does not go unnoticed. We had a great time chatting to him and also his lovely wife Karen. No ask was too much and we really appreciate the effort they put in to make your stay special.

“Peaceful, tranquil and picturesque stay”

The place is located at the picturesque part of the Hunter Valley and the less travel part of the tourist belt. There're hardly any traffic and we get to enjoy the view, sunset and local vineyard scenes at our own pace.

The location was amazing. Tranquil location and stunning views. The owners were wonderful, helped with information about the property and recommended some local restaurants and places to visit. The property is close to everything yet feels like you are completely isolated from it all. The property had everything you could need and want and the peacefulness was perfect. We loved it and will be back again.

Loved the layout of the place and the lovely gifts left for us upon arrival! The bed was comfortable, everything was spacious and we had plenty of facilities (including kitchen appliances) to be able to ‘live’ there comfortably.

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Thulanathi. We get to walk around the property with Bluey - the owners' dog, and spent some quality time with nature. The hosts are lovely and very helpful! We hope to have this as our yearly visits!

What a beautiful place and beautiful hosts including the four legged one. We had such a relaxing stay…comfy bed, great shower and comfy place to rest after a day out. Close enough and far enough to town. Wineries close by and great morning walks

The property was close to amenities yet quiet and peaceful away from the road. Being the only accommodation on the property meant we only shared with the hosts so it felt like it was all ours.

Everything! The house itself is so cool and defiantly a place you feel refreshed and more in touch with you afterwards! The house was very lovely and gave my partner and I very detailed information about good hikes, wineries and even the history of the house!

Beautiful, restful atmosphere! Secluded enough but also very central to everything. The bed was incredibly comfortable & the cabin was cosy & warm! Stephan & Karen (and Bluey!) have created a lovely slice of paradise & we hope to visit again!

It was amazing, I'd totally recommend it! Its exactly if not more beautiful than the pictures! Really friendly couple who owns it and they gave us a bottle of red wine and some eggs from their chickens and also some chocolate just to say hello! The bed is king size, its so comfy, the location is perfect for the wineries and you are seperated from the main house so its private. Its romantic with the fire and so much better and spacious than a 5 star hotel.

A great location that is close to everything you want to see, surrounded by beautiful gardens and rural scenery with kangaroos on your door step. The house is amazing with great amenities and a very comfortable bed. The hosts Stephan & Karen are absolutely lovely and leave you with a feeling like you are part of the family. Very secluded romantic getaway that will not disappoint. Highly recommend .

We were met by the hosts and showed around the house and how to use heating etc. They were happy to share further information and recommendations about the local area. There was a quick guide to the house and stay, as well as a local map that guests had indicated good local wineries and attractions they had enjoyed.

I can’t speak highly enough of Stephan who welcomed us upon arrival and made sure we were fully looked after during our stay! The converted barn was in the perfect location to explore the Hunter Valley, gets a little cold during winter but there are plenty of heating options.
