“Nice nature, but not marching the price”

The river cabin are nice in the woods next to the river. There is real dense forest with monkeys, spiders, snakes - so much lush nature!

Kind and friendly staff! Got a free upgrade to the beach cabanas which were beautiful and right on the beach. Great guest kitchen, surf dojo is very cool and all round excellent property!

“Simple but wonderful”

We liked its relatively remote location, we actually liked the steep climb to the cabana that we were in (masochistic I know). The staff were lovely and the natural beauty of its surrounds are gorgeous. The room was simple but functional, comfy without being fancy. One thing that was fantastic is that there was a water cooler in the room, and that for us, was pure luxury, having cold water to drink in a hot and humid climate, perfect.

“A relaxing beach and jungle paradise”

Eco Venao is such a wonderful place to stay. Surrounded by jungle you can hear howler monkeys, see capuchins high in trees, and be visited by hummingbirds. There is a cool hammock area to relax in during the heat of the day off the beach, and a wonderful shaded beach area with everything you need. The beach is brilliant, and my favourite spotin Venao. The cafe serves delicious food and coffee and we were also able to cook in the kitchen there.

Good location and wonderful view

Absolutely beautiful place with a soul. If you wanna be in a quiet area, near the beach it’s the place to stay. Around 15 min by walk to the center. We loved it so much that decided to stay one night extra.

The place is huge and very spread out, with many areas to relax. They have a very nice beach bar and yoga studio across the highway, along with a nice stretch of beach. In addition there is a breakfast nook and coffee studio. They have a hiking trail which leads to a waterfall and you can hear howler monkeys in the trees. The staff are very pleasant.

“Jungle vibes”

Perfectly tucked away from the crowds and party vibes but close enough to dip in if you choose to! Not for the faint hearted with cats jumping on your bed in the middle of the night Great spot for surfing and waking up to jungle noises

Everything! The cabins were the best space we had and being so close to the water felt amazing. 100% recommend. Everyone was super friendly, it was all clean and easy to fall in love with the beach.

The staff were amazing. Particularly Manuel at reception who went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. He connected me with other guests there and organised my travel to and from an amazing day out to see iguana island and the whales.

I stayed in the 8 person dorm. The room is amazing. Very spacious (the size of 4 standard bedrooms). They give you a very large locker and the beds are hand crafted, they look great. The cleaning ladies are so friendly, they brought us mangos from their garden and helped me a stain out my shorts. They are so nice. It’s an easy walk to the beach meaning you feel secluded but everything is accessible at the same time. The communal kitchen is large and has everything you need. There is a hammock area too.

“I liked the stay at the Eco Venao Lodge very much. Recommended!”

I stayed two nights in the Eco Venao Lodge. Right at the beginning there was a very friendly reception. They showed me also other rooms for rent in this lodge, but I stayed with the casita I had booked. The casita in the forest was a really great experience: view from the terrasse and windows into the forest. The room was perfectly clean and everything worked. The WiFi was fast.

We stayed in the bungalow which was steps away from the ocean. The breakfast & dinner at the hotel’s cafe and on-site restaurant were good.
