Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun is a AAA's 5 Diamond Award Winner property with 13 outdoor pools, 6 à la carte gourmet restaurants, a buffet restaurant, a Coco Café, a Barefoot Grill and a Preferred Beach Club exclusive for Preferred Club guests. Restaurants that request dress code casual elegance are Bordeaux, El Patio, Himitsu, Oceana, Portofino, Seaside Grill and World Café. Dress code casual elegance – Long pants required for men. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops. Sneakers/ tennis shoes or dress sandals, dress shirts with short sleeves or collared shirts. Himitsu, there are three teppanyaki tables available (must request in advance with Concierge). It also offers a wide variety of on-site activities like yoga and scuba lessons. Featuring hot tubs, furnished terraces, and minibars, the suites at this adult-only have flat-screen cable TV. The marble bathrooms provide toiletries, bathrobes and a hairdryer. The restaurants at Secrets Maroma have different specialties like buffet services, Mexican cuisine, Asian delicacies, French dishes, Italian specialties and grilled meals. Other activities that this all-inclusive offers are dance lessons, beach and pool volleyball, water aerobics, and archery, among others. Cancun’s nightlife entertainment area is only 30 minutes drive from Secrets Maroma, and Playa del Carmen can be reached in a 15-minute drive. Tulum Archaeological Site is 50 minutes drive away. “Beautiful resort with excellent food and service, but security fell short”
Very friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful beaches and a lovely freshwater pool. The food was fantastic in all restaurants, consistently high quality. We stayed on an all-inclusive plan, which works very well, especially for larger families. The resort has a multicultural atmosphere, and staff communicate well in French, English, and Spanish. Rooms and facilities are beautiful and well maintained, with a boutique-style feel despite being all inclusive. We had a very positive stay at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, the beach is beautiful, and the freshwater pool area is excellent. The food was outstanding in every restaurant we tried, and the all-inclusive concept works very well. For larger families or groups, this is a good choice in the Playa del Carmen area. The resort feels multicultural and international, with staff speaking French, English, and Spanish. Rooms and facilities are elegant, well maintained, and give a boutique-hotel feeling despite being an all-inclusive property.

Staff for the most part are welcoming and friendly. The beach team in particular are great. The room was always immaculate. Food was great - like that the Maroma serves fresh fish at lunch and not just fast food like the other Secrets.

The staff went beyond their responsibilities to ensure a great stay and service. Super crowded swimming pool areas. Very hard to find a spot on the beach Dirty beach bar and very outdated Dirty pool bar and very outdated and busy. I tried all the resturaunts and the food is dry and tasteless at best. The quality of food is very important to me.This Hotel is old and the resturaunts lack character and quality. There is only 1 poolbar in the resort and 1 in the lobby. That's it. Only 1 person mostly bartending. Long waits. Not smoking resort. You can't even smoke In the balcony or terrace. As an experienced traveler this hotel is worth no more than 200$usd a night.
