Clean rooms, friendly staff, lots of food options and great entertainment, especially from Tina and Kenddall. It was fun to see animals running around. Pool bar is very good. Location was right on the beach and close to cenotes, short trip into Playa del Carmen.

The food was excellent in all the restaurants, plenty of room to sit in the pool area and the sea. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful.

Everything was great. Loved the beach, the view from the room and the wild animals on the property. Really made our experience very exotic. Totally recommend.

Good position in front of the ocean, nice beach with palms. Unfortunately there was seaweed. Staff is always smiling and helpful. They offer you fruity drinks on the beach. The cuisine is medium level, but varied, I enjoyed mango and papaya. They change your towels every day.

There was plenty of activities put on by the hotel aqua aerobics, volleyball in the pool, stuff for the kids, bingo, karaoke. The location is also great, very safe and right opposite a few little local shops

“Very nice, relaxing and amazing beach and pools”

First and best is the staff, they are amazing. Then the beach and the size of the pool area, never over crowded because there is so much space. Buffet is pretty good, steak house not so much, and the others are ok. It is a pretty great place, the view of the beach is unmatched.

The Riu Playacar was our first time in Mexico and we couldn't have picked a better hotel the staff were amazing so professional and friendly from Samuel on reception to Marcus, Kevin, Enrique, mariela, Orlando so polite Our room was fabulous cleaned everyday and the food was delish!!!

Room was cleaned frequently and mini-bar stocked with a decent selection of drinks The buffet for breakfast and dinner offered a good variety of food that did change slightly everyday. Italian restaurant was very good

“Very good holiday location for families with kids”

We just stayed two nights so the review might not be fully representative. We very much liked our short stay, great area, various pools (swimmer, activities, adults bar). Food offer seems great, but the buffet restaurant has a bit the charme of a huge canteen (this is what we liked more in our Iberostar). The pool food is ok, but the salads/sauces being in a cabinet in the burning heat might not be the best. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the minibar is full of Beer and you even have your own liquor bar in the room. Direct beach access which we liked a lot. A bit more crowded than the neighboring Iberostar.

Service is great, the buffets ans restaurants are very good and with a large variety of menus. The beach was clean and catamaran, paddle and kayak use is for free! The rooms are very confortable! There are several activities!

We liked the facilities and the possibility to have a real good buffet as well as other restaurants. The hotel was really clean. Great curtains for the light. Air condition working perfectly. The staff is amazingly nice !! Everyone is so smiley and nice.

The room was good, and the general hotel layout was good. I enjoyed the swim up bar.

Spacious and lots of facilities

Food and restorants is perfect. and without reservation. This is realy best hotel. Pools is big enough. Wather is very hot. and covered parking is big and safe. There is no mosquito at all. Staff is very polite.
