Balcony in from of the rooms was a great place to chill out, although needs more lights. Dogs were cute.

Kryz and José were really nice! They took such good care of us. Their children are sweet and polite as well! The location is great, it’s more quiet and calm. Easy access to boat transfers. The carribean food they make is super delicious. The hosts are happy to help with any questions!

The rooms are rustic with a balcony and a view of the ocean and steps to the waves. The hosts are a lovely family with 2 young children. Our children enjoyed playing with their kids and animals. The entire family was very welcoming and kind. It is located in a quieter area of the beach and it is very peaceful when visitors leave in the late afternoon and early morning.

Amazing location very friendly and warming. The nicest family you could meet they make you feel so welcome in there homely environment. A must visit If you stop off in Baru even if it's to see the beautiful family.

The owners are exceptional people and go out of their way to look after their guests. The upstairs ocean side rooms share a big balcony which is the perfect place to hang out and get away from the busyness of the afternoon beach crowd

“Great stay at Shekinah”

I had a great stay at Shekinah. The hotel is 10 minutes away from the parking place where all tours arrive, it has only 3 rooms with a balcony overlooking the sea where you benefit from a hammock, table and a living room to enjoy the afternoons protected from the sun. The hosts are great, offering sunbeds, coffee and welcome drinks as part of the stay and taking care of all your needs, from providing help on how to arrive to making cocktails or meals as requested.

“Sand, salt and freshly caught fish!”

José, the host, is a very chill guy, an excellent chef and will make sure that all your needs are satisfied, always with a smile on his face. He helped us book a half day boat tour at a good price and even served us freshly caught fish in the morning! The breakfast was very good considering the location and what's generally offered on Playa Blanca.

I enjoyed my stay in this small eco-hotel incredibly. I was there two weekends in a row. Breakfast and the fish for dinner were incredibly delicious. The room, as well as the whole eco-hotel, is simple but incredibly cosy, quiet (until the day tourists arrive with the boats in the afternoon). If you stay overnight, it will be quiet again when they leave around 4-5 pm. Every morning, they brought my coffee upstairs to the balcony. You have a great view over the sea from the balcony. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I would go back anytime and then for longer. *Tip for arriving and leaving Playa Blanca from Cartagena: right in front of the hotel will the tour boats arrive in the morning and leaf back to Cartagena in the afternoon.

First of all, you gotta know that this eco-hostel is located in a far away area of Barú, so the facilities are according to the site. The staff is concern about your arrival even before you get there... Rafa, Jose and Chris were very welcoming since the very first minute, offering you drinks and food they cooked right there. The location is in Playa Tranquila, the most quiet area of Playa Blanca Barú, away from the other tourists that visit the beach daily. The room was very simple and basic but it was just what I needed to rest, mine was in front of the terrace where I get an amazing ocean view. The bathroom is shared, and as one can imagine, the access to water is restricted, and the energy comes from solar panels, so we all have to ration it. With the staff memeber you can access to tour to visit ither Islands or the night plankton tour, even you can find a spot to go back to Cartagena by boats. Every single detail was great.

The people taking care of the posada are very nice and always ready to help. The cleanliness, location and also food from Kriss were great :)
