Overview
The traditional Cycladic-style Smaragda Rooms & Studios is located 2 km away from Platis Yialos, the well-known sandy beach of Sifnos. It offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony enjoying unrestricted view to the garden and the surrounding area. Featuring a private entrance, Smaragda units offer a refrigerator, TV and kettle. They all their own bathroom with hairdryer, while some come with a kitchenette and dining area. In the village of Platis Yialos guests can enjoy local food and wine in seaside taverns. The picturesque capital of Sifnos, Apollonia, is 4 km away and the port of Kamares is within 9 km. The owner is really kind. He told us where is the best to go and what to see, even gave us a drive the first night. Nice room with a beautiful pattio. It's a bit remote location but the bus stops right outside the house. Anyway it's good to have a car or scooter.

“Sifnos our first visit”
Kostas place is a traditional Cycladic island property with a huge, nice garden, lots of parking area, with rooms, each with their verandas, looking at the surrounding open land and mountains in the distance. Our room was large and very clean with comfortable beds and equipped with extra towels, small TV, air-conditioning, small fridge, desk, wardrobe etc. Kostas welcomed us with apricots from his tree and eggs from his own chicken. So sweet!. He directed us to various tourist areas and events happening in the island as well as the best restaurants, cafes and breakfast places. We had a very good time in Sifnos in general, as the people are kind, friendly and happy.

“A beautiful refuge on Sifnos”
We absolutely loved our stay at Smaragda studios. Kostas and his wife are the best hosts ever, helping out where they can and always up for a friendly chat. They even offered us to take some of the vegetables, fruits and herbs they grow around the house. The place itself is located in the middle of the olive tree fields between Platis Gialos and Appollonia, both villages just a short scooter ride away. There‘s also a bus stop just outside the premises but it‘s easier to get around with a vehicle. Thanks to Smaragda for a wonderful week on Sifnos :) we will be back.
