The location was excellent for us. We parked the car in the public car park and it was just a 5 min walk to the hotel. It was excellent value for money, no frill but that is ok for us as we just stayed 1 night on route.

“What a lovely surprise”
If you need a modern inexpensive hotel right in the centre of Plasencia, Hotel Rincón Extremeño is the one for you. It is located in a narrow street, Calle Vidrieras, via a small archway next to Cafeteria/Bar Español in Plaza España. I parked in the car park under Plaza San Fransisco which is really easy to find and, if I had not set off in the wrong direction, it is an easy three minute walk up Calle Talavera to the Plaza and the hotel. Instructions and codes to get into the hotel and your room are communicated by WhatsApp and easy to follow so make sure you have access to an internet connection during the two days before your arrival. Calle Vidrieras is not a particularly inviting lane so I was not feeling too happy as I walked down to the hotel entrance but it was clear from the outside and indoor foyers that things were going to be OK. Access to my room was via stairs or elevator and my room was light, modern and attractive and included a decent-sized fridge. In fact the whole hotel had been designed and refurbished to a high standard. I wasn't really looking for it, but the restaurant mentioned in the Booking.com description wasn’t open any time I was back & forth to the hotel. A search of Google Maps reveals Rst El Riconcito next door with an access via the hotel reception but there were no signs of life anywhere along Calle Las Vidrieras during my day and night in the city. Great location, great little hotel. Highly recommended.
