Where do I even begin - the ambulance in the parking lot, the police a few doors down from my room, the multiple people sitting in cars just parked and loitering, the people clearly living in their rooms, the homeless couple with their dog and shopping cart, the hairs on the sheets, the dirty laundry sitting in the reception area. I checked in and went to my room, stayed 20 minutes until I could find another room nearby and left. I have never felt unsafe before like this in the USA at any motel and I have stayed at cheap motels before. This was unreal. The vibes were completely off at this place.

The place was full of bedbugs, and I was in two different rooms. They practically took me away completely. I woke up covered in bites and with my skin all swollen. There were more than 20 bites in these places. The place is a cave of bedbugs. And the manager is a very despotic girl, just like her father. They come out screaming violently, they even threaten to stab you if you don't keep quiet. It's a horrible place.

The rooms are well laid out and maximise space in the ‘classic’ Motel 6 style reminding me of holidays spent in such during the 1980s. Showers, taps and television all functioned well and beds were comfortable. It was rarely noisy from other rooms and I was able to sleep well right through . I experienced the staff , while not chatty as both polite and efficient .

I never got to stay there as I booked through booking.com who said reservation was confirmed by motel. But on arrival the manager said they’d been fully booked all day.
