“Idyllic Tuscan stay – amazing pool, dream breakfast, and the most comfortable beds ever!”

We loved our stay at Casale dell’Orso! The location is idyllic and peaceful, yet close to Lucca, Siena, and the coast (Viareggio just 45 min away). The pool is large, spotless, and right next to the house – with delicious lunches served poolside from noon till evening. The rooms were perfectly comfortable, with the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had in a hotel. We also loved the great air conditioning and well-sealed windows that let us sleep in without morning light. Breakfast was the absolute highlight – the best we’ve had in Italy. You can order anything you like, from fresh, farm-tasting eggs to buttery croissants, jams, honey, ham, cheeses, and Italian specialties. Every morning felt like a treat. A perfect place for families or couples wanting comfort, great food, and easy access to beautiful Tuscany!

This place was incredible. A well needed rest/break in authentic Tuscany, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Florence. Location was slightly out of Pistoia town but the accomodation offers free bikes to cycle into the town. I stayed during July (summer) and in a European heat wave so the crystal clean pool was amazing and the breakfast with home made cakes was to die for. The staff were exceptional, cleaning my room daily and the receptionist offered to drop me at the station on my departure day. I highly recommend staying here !!

The staff were friendly and the room was good. Nice shower and breakfast was excellent. Located a little way out of the town so we used the (free) bikes at the hotel to get into town - it took around 10 minutes on bike

Property is beautiful and close to the very nice town of Pistoia full of excellent restaurants. Rooms extremely comfortable and extremely well kept. Pool was amazing to cool off from summer heat. Delicious and customized breakfast. The best was the friendly attention from Francesca who made us feel at home all the time, she made our experience unforgettable!

“Too expensive for what you get”

The breakfast was very good! Warm croissant, fresh fruit Salat, nice coffee.

Bedroom and breakfast were excellent . Genny was a great host and organised a taxi for us to to centre of Pistoia ( too tired to walk the 25 min walk due to cycling all day)

“A lovely and relaxing staying, ideal for families”

The swimming pool is great! We were allowed to use it for a couple of hours after the check out too. breakfast is delicious with homemade cakes and biscuits. The staff recommended us a restaurant in Pistoia which we really loved (and they offer a 10% discount for Casale dell’Orso’s guests!)

Pool area was excellent. The bed, mattress and pillows was very heavenly. Room was very nice size and we had our own balcony which was awesome.

This is a lovely, very well kept place just out of Pistoia. I realised too late that I would arrive only after the official time to check-in but I contacted the hotel and the staff kindly offered to wait for me. I had a lovely morning swim in the pool and a nice breakfast and coffee. This hotel makes a wonderful stop if you're exploring the area and you're by car.

“Amazing location, comfy bed, great pool!!”

Location was great, easy to approach by car and to park. It took us 20-30 minutes to reach city center on foot and train station which was ideal. The pool was simply amazing and clean! The staff was always nice to us and the prepared a simple but good breakfast. We also loved our bed, super comfy and our little balcony was amazing. Overall - highly recommended if you dont want to be inside the city, but still not be too far away!!

“Good value for a short business trip”

Excellent location for getting to road connections to Pistoia and local nurseries(main reason for our visit). Friendly reeption and room very clean. Lovely swimming pool and balcony
