Overview
Mount Sheba is located 30 minutes' drive from the historical town of Pilgrim's Rest. Surrounded by rain forest, the hotel offers a variety of leisure activities. The thatched rooms are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, cosy fireplace, tea-and-coffee making facilities and a patio. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Hackett's Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch while dinner can be enjoyed at The Chandelier Restaurant, followed by drinks at the bar. Activities offered at Mount Sheba Lodge include tennis, billiard, boule, crouquet, dart and outdoor chess. There is a swimming pool, hiking trails through the forest and trout fishing opportunities. Nestled in the Grootfonteinberg, this boutique hotel offers the perfect retreat from busy city life with a 360 degree view of the beautiful lush rainforest and the mountain. There is no need to leave the property for sightseeing - one can enjoy a different hiking trail each day followed by a wonderful meal at one of the restaurants at the property. There is also a spa available for pamper and relaxation. Chilly evenings are filled with a welcoming warm fireplace in every room with wood provided daily. The staff are very friendly and helpful and attended to anything we required.

“I'm coming back. I want to do the hikes. You need at least three days at Mount Sheba to explore”
I liked the welcome. Made us feel warm and special. Everything was organised. We were explained where everything was and we loved the pool room in the bar. We enjoyed that you didn't have to pay a deposit for a pool ball or the sticks. It was readily available. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The red wine per glass was very good quality, normally the house wine is awful.

“Romantic getaway”
This is one of the most beautifully placed country hotels I have ever been to and the rooms are amazing . The staff couldn’t help more. A truly remarkable experience.

The views were amazing. Its a quiet place where you can go to relax. Compliments to the chef, the menus were different everyday and the food was very delicious. We also hiked, the trail is well maintained.
