“perfect Gite in a perfect location with the most easy going hosts”
we stayed in the larger Gite and Zandra and Lee have thought of everything. The attention to detail and the style of the property made this holiday extremely pleasant. The pool area has been made with such class and is not overlooked by neighbours. We felt we were in a total oasis once entering the property. The property is in the centre of the quiet town , so easy to walk to the three restaurants and the super market . Zandra and Lee were the perfect host and really were so helpful and even invited us out with them to celebrate Bastille day.

The location of the gite is perfectly located in a large tranquil garden, however the moment you leave the property you are in the centre of a quiet town with a large selection of shops. The swimming pool area is superb, the pool itself is a great size, warm and immaculately clean. Whilst relaxing by the pool you really wouldn't know you were in the centre of the town. The gite has everything you could wish for to enable you to spend your holiday relaxing. Lots of space, two good sized bedrooms with an excellent bathroom along with all mod-cons in the kitchen. Wi-fi was also available. The best thing about the place though are the hosts, Lee and Zandra who couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, they really made what was a great holiday into a fantastic one. I cannot recommend La Châtaigne highly enough, if you are looking for a well maintained, very clean property with great hosts, to stay in for your holiday in the North of the Dordogne, then this is the place. We will certainly be returning.
