We really enjoyed our stay. We do not speak Czech nor German, but the host spoke good English so we didn't have problems with communication. The breakfast was very nice!

“A Price/Quality winner in the Karlovy Vary region”
Pension Tradice (U Bendů) is situated high in the Ore Mountains (22 minutes drive to Karlovy Vary) at a well-kept road that leads over the Czech-German border into Germany. We got Room 1 which was quite big with two spring beds, two windows (with a view in the garden and on alpine grassland), a flatscreen TV (with Czech channels), a refridgerator, a small table, a chair and a wardrobe. The Wifi connection is sufficient and there are enough electric mains connections. The bathroom is also quite big with modern tiles, big towels and an excellent shower. The spring beds are perhaps a bit on the hard side (and with 2 meters a bit on the short side) and there are supersize cushions. But we slept well. The pension owner is aimable (- so is his dog -) and there is a restaurant with traditional Czech cuisine with drafted Plzener Urquell beer. We liked the breakfast very much. One can choose between three plates: scrambled eggs, hot dogs and ham-cheese. The coffee is served in a big pot, there are yoghurts, there is jam and the bread is fresh & tasty. We choose to stay three nights, because we wanted to do one day trip to the spa resort of Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary) and another daytrip to the town Ostrov + the spa resort Franzenbad (Frantiskovy Lazne). Both places are easy to reach from the pension. (Tip: in the Karlsbad street Moskevska one can park the car for free and from there one can make amazing walks into the spa areal) For people who arrive from Germany or travel into Germany the pension is very well situated. The pension is well frequented by German 'Stammgasts' (the pension owner speaks German).
