“A cottage that feels like home, even ~1500mi away.”

We spent an amazing week at this cottage at the start of the Lappish Winter. We arrived in dark, so it took a bit of guess work to figure out which cottage is ours, but got there at the end. The house is warm and homely inside, we immediately felt like home. Plenty space for our stuff, cosy fireplace, really nice bathroom / sauna area and a fully and I mean fully equipped kitchen. The location is good and the area is quiet. Rovaniemi airport is around 1:15h - 1:30h away with car. There is a little village a few minutes away where you can get almost everything, but for bigger shops, you need to drive 20-30 mins to Kemijärvi. The owners thought about everything what the guests might need. Extra warm socks, slippers, firewood, plenty of kitchen cooking and machines, dishwasher, spices, dry food to share, even some hygienic products. They even have a great variety of entertainment for all ages. We have used a good few properties over the years, but we never had a more equipped accommodation than this. There are instruction for basically everything, and if you're not sure, Mari & Kaj are always there, just a message away. Keep in mind, there is a separate charge for the final cleaning, and also for bed linen / towel rental. To us this wasn't a surprise but for those who are first time in a Nordic Country, this is normal. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the accommodation, and hopefully we can stay here again the next time we visit Finland, and there will be a next time, guaranteed.

“Fairy tale house”

The house is truly welcoming and you immediately feel at home. The place is enchanting, it feels like living in a fairy tale. The house was really well equipped with everything we needed and even more than we needed. Furthermore, the owner was always prompt in responding to any needs we had, and a plus was that on the first evening she even let us know that there was a fantastic aurora outside the house. Everything was perfect.

Nice host: we were granted very early check -in with the heating turned on for us. The chalet was nicely decorated and functional. The kitchen appliances were top of the line; pots and pans complete with lids! All the facilities worked very well. The semi-remote location meant that we got visits from reindeers wandering and munching right outside our windows.

Lovely cabin that was toasty and warm in the very cold weather we had! Well appointed with everything we needed for our 4 night stay.

The house is very comfortable and all the facilities are well maintenance, there is everything we need, we enjoy sauna during our stay as well. The bus stop is nearby the main road, it’s very convenient for visitor without driving. We also saw aurora just walk 400m away on the interaction with road Kotatie. The host is very nice and reply quickly if any question, we got some information from them. We will come back to stay here when next visit.

The location was pristine.

It is a lovely dreamy cottage. Everything is above perfect. Ideal for cosy and relaxing holidays. The place is very cosy, and warm, you just don't even want to leave the house anymore. It is charming as a country house, but with modern technology, a remote heating system, floor heating, a sauna and the wifi works perfectly. The cottage has everything you can think of: TV, Netflix, video game, board games, snow sledge and the kitchen is very well equipped. We love to cook and we didn't miss one utensil. The hosts were very kind and informative and helped us whenever needed. We loved everything!
