This is an intriguing and interesting place with amazing creative decor. The rooms are big, comfortable and full of interesting objects and furniture. Food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. The owner was friendly and full of information about the history and features of the surrounding areas.

“Amazing experience at the castle”

The staff is extremely kind, they make feel you like the castle is yours. We could wash our bikes and use the kitchen. The chambers are huge and beautiful, we had direct access to the garden. The castle itself and the domain are a truly artwork. Also, the breakfast was perfect. I definitely recommend!

The chateau was beautiful, and the hosts Claude and lola couldn't have been friendlier or more accomodating.

We loved the unusual quirkiness of the place, once we got over its being deserted on arrival and letting ourselves in through the kitchen. Mother-in-law was so attentive - and we were treated throughout as honoured guests even though she had no idea we were coming! Lola’s sense of style and history is infectious - and we were swept up in the ambience and beauty of the château. Administrative arrangements could do with some tightening up, but in no way did this detract from an incredible experience which we would not hesitate to repeat. Seeing three young deer crossing the driveway as we left was the icing on a perfect cake.

Lola our host was very friendly and so informative not only about the chateau but with the area and history. The decor is amazing and time is needed to explore it and the surrounding countryside. Only stayed for one night but a very memorable one. The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room we stayed amazing decor 😊 would definitely return . Rosa and Des Blake Australia

“beautiful hidden country paradise”

loved everything. we stayed for 2 nights with our little dog and had the best time. the food was delicious-we asked for something for dinner last minute one evening and they whipped up an amazing salad for us without problem, the room was lovely and spacious with a nice view. the surroundings were amazing with plenty of sunflower fields to explore. the two women running the place were gems, so nice. we will 100% be back to this hidden paradise

“A peaceful overnight stay in a gorgeous Chateau.”

The moment we arrived we knew we were going to experience a very special stay. Chateau de Fajac is the full package for a special weekend or overnight stay. The Chateau is styled elegantly and includes some fun elements which represents Lola's personality. The surrounding views are very peaceful. Lola greeted us on arrival with drinks on the terrace and she was very generous spending some time with us and sharing her recommendations on what to see and visit and where to eat locally. Mirepoix is a short 15 mins drive and is worth a visit if your itinerary allows it.

I have never written a review before but after spending the weekend at this fabulous venue, I felt it was necessary! Lola and her staff are all very welcoming and so knowledgeable on the area. The chateau itself is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The breakfasts were fabulous and we can't wait to revisit!

“Sad we didn't get to stay as planned”

It's hard to rate this place as I can't really comment on much given we didn't complete our stay, through no fault of our own. We arrived to find no-one to let us in the Chateau it looked deserted. We rang the bell several times, eventually the owner appeared in her dressing gown and said she was ill and disappeared. A nice elderly lady arrived and showed us to our room. It was 5 pm and we had booked dinner and breakfast there also, I asked if this was still available to be told no dinner would be available because the owner was ill. We didn't feel very welcome or comfortable as the elderly lady was also coughing. We were told that the nearest town for food was 20 mins away and we could bring food back if we wanted. Having been on the road all day this wasn't what were expecting. We left and quickly organised somewhere else to stay. I appreciate these things happen however it would have been nice to have been contacted to let us know dinner wouldn't be available and their was illness in the house so we could have made a better informed decision earlier in the day. We did get a full refund once I had contact booking.com The room we were shown to looked lovely and was very big, I would have loved to have stayed there under different circumstances. It is a bit in the middle of no-where but is a pretty area. I hope Lola has made a full recovery.

It is a quirky property, much like the host, Lola. We had a great visit and spent an afternoon winding down in a tranquil setting. They gave us excellent advice for dinner and the breakfast conversation with the host was really interesting and informative. Everyone was helpful and friendly.
