“Simply stunning”

The resort is stunningly located and the facilities are amazing. We had a beachfront room with a beautiful view. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathroom is huge and includes a spa bath. The horizon pool overlooks the ocean. Both are immaculately maintained. We dined a lot in the beachfront restaurant, and enjoyed the massages available onsite. In addition to all of this it was the staff that truly made our stay wonderful. From the pool staff, food staff, management and room staff we could not have been made to feel more welcome, at home and special. Nothing was ever too much to ask and was always responded to with a smile and a laugh.

“Excellent stay in Pasikudah in family friendly hotel”

The family rooms were really nice, with amazing bathrooms. Small hotel, loved the free yoga class in the morning, the spa, the animations by Rushi for the children, the play room. Rushi was exceptional with the kids really. He had so much energy from morning to night, he’s a superstar. The check in ritual was lovely too, very special. The staff was lovely everywhere.

We spent 5 days at Maalu Maalu and had the best time. We have 3 young children and it was perfect for them, not only the shallow areas of the pool and the perfect location of the beach. The thing that stood out the most for us was the friendliness and kindness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough to help. We arrived earlier than expected and the team had a room ready for us very quickly. Thanzil ensured we did not have to wait long for dinner and kept us hydrated in the day! Rupan, would lay out our towels at the pool every morning along with pool toys for our children and the kids loved playing with Ruchira. All the staff from bell boys to front of house and manager Chamara would come round and chat with us/the kids-I’m sure they did this with everyone but it certainly made us feel special. We will remember this place for a long time.

Exceptional Service and Unmatched Hospitality – A Memorable Stay! Our stay at Maalu Maalu Resort was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome and a genuine kindness from every single member of the staff that truly set the tone for our entire vacation. What really blew me away, however, was their incredible teamwork and how they handle challenges. Due to an error partly on my own end, I accidentally made a double booking. Instead of enforcing rigid policies, the management showed immense fairness, understanding, and flexibility, graciously agreeing to a partial refund. It is rare to find a resort that handles guest mishaps with such grace and professionalism. A massive, heartfelt thank you goes out to Chamara, the manager, for his outstanding leadership and fairness, to the wonderful Tasneem, and to Tanzeel at the bar for keeping our spirits high. Every single one of them went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly special. If you are looking for a beautiful getaway where you are treated like family by an exceptional team, Maalu Maalu is the place to be. Thank you for making our stay so memorable—we cannot wait to return!

“Beach vibe paradise”

We seriously considered booking more nights while we already booked another hotel. Do we really need to say more? 😀 While considering to book this hotel: stop, just do it. Pay a little more than you were maybe planning to, and enjoy this magic piece of paradise. We really appreciated everything, but we name three things: the good food, clean beaches and the animation.

Great location by a beautiful bay, easy access to the beach, and in close proximity to some very nice corals. Property has a sizeable pool, and excellent spa offering Ayurveda treatments, a small but well-furnished gym, two high-quality restaurants and entertainment including two play rooms for kids and a karaoke room. Quiet location offering an ideal setting for both family vacations as well as relaxed setting for couples. Above all the friendliness and service of the staff stand out. Shantha, Gayan and the F&B staff at the restaurant looked after us with delicious food; Ruchira entertained the children who had lots of fun and made new friends; and Thanzil and Rupan looked after us as they made sure we had drinks, food, towels and equipment around the pool and on the beach. The friendliness and smiles of the staff at Maalu Maalu has made us feel welcome and relaxed.

The location is stunning and the staff go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one.

“Great place to stay in passikudah”

Loved the fact that the property was right on the beach. The beach and pool area was stunning. Room was clean and had a very large bathroom. Staff were great. Had a Great selection of food for the buffet at breakfast and dinner. The guy serving drinks at the pool bar was lovely! There was even a little nightclub at the property. I enjoyed the little sports bar where we enjoyed playing pool. I would definitely stay here again.

The beach was beautiful and the view was fantastic. We were able to take some amazing photos. The pool was excellent, and the dinner was exceptional as well. Everything was up to our expectations, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We visited for our honeymoon, and the hotel made it extra special with lovely room decorations. They even surprised us with a very tasty cake to celebrate our special day, which we truly appreciated. We even had a jacuzzi in our bedroom, which was truly special. Even though we stayed only one day, we made the most of it. It was a very relaxing and memorable experience.

The location was beautiful and despite rain we had a fantastic stay with a lovely view of the sea from the infinity pool. My mom struggles to walk and the staff was very kind and always helpful even providing her a wheelchair for the stay.

“A great stay in Pasakudah”

A beautiful property with very attentive staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent break fast. We ate from the à la carte menu in the evening. We only had starters as we were not particularly hungry. We thought the food was okay but expensive for what it was. The buffet was definitely better value and looked very good. A lovely pool area too. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

“Nice spot but not luxury by European standards”

The beach and the pool were lovely although the pool temperature was too hot to be refreshing. Everywhere was clean. Ruchi who organised activities with the kids was a star. Snorkelling nearby was really great.
