Just fabulous! Super friendly owners/hosts, great room tastefully decorated, the house is also great, the location is right on the historic Medieval Town road, nice breakfast. All round great!!

A very warm welcome. The building is very well developed and conserved. The room was wonderful with a well thought out mix of the characterful old and the comfortable new. We loved our stay and felt very welcome at la cressonniere We would wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Jade was an excellent host and very helpful. The location is in the heart of the medieval district of Parthenay. The room had everything I needed and was warm and cozy.

“It was an overnight stop enroute home and our hosts made us very welcome and despite arriving early”

The location was excellent for visiting Parthenay being in the heart of the old town and in a renovated traditional building. Being English our French is terrible, but thankfully our hosts both spoke good English. The one-way system is a bit difficult to navigate and with a large car the main access road to the accommodation according to the sat nav is a little tricky to navigate. A bar 200 yds and restaurants within 5 minute walk. Traditional continental breakfast with fruits, etc.

The accommodation was unusually spacious, comfortable and very well designed and furnished. We say 'designed' because although the most seductive aspect for our choice was the excitingly historical street and the medieval building itself, the owners' works of repair and improvement were very thoughtful and crafted to a very high standard. Every room had different and interesting views out to courtyard and garden spaces The hosts Cyril and Jeanne were exceptionally helpful and interesting to talk to. The provided breakfast was lovely and we also had our own kitchen to cook evening meals. We'd love to go back.

Excellent room in a characterful 15th century house in a lovely part of the old town. Owners were really friendly and helpful and as cyclists we really appreciated the clothes washing service. Secure place to store our bikes. Fantastic value for money.

Comfortable, quirky. Very old building full of antiques even the furniture. Exceptionally clean, the room had everything you need. The bathroom was modern with a large shower. No television but who wants one especially on holiday. Breakfast was excellent.

The hosts are very nice people and the accommodation is to a high standard. Breakfast is included and it is so much more than the average bread, jam and coffee! We were provided with fresh fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt, pain au chocolate, honey and much more. it is very good value.
